Thrilled to share our discussion on breast cancer dormancy out today in @Cancer_Cell. We outline 4 main gaps between research and clinical practice & propose an action plan to bridge them! Tweetorial 👇(1/n)tinyurl.com/msctvab2
Checkout our latest in @CR_AACR. We are asking whether and how germline predisposition can impact the pattern of metastasis in breast cancer patients.

Headed to #AACR26, the same week we had practice changing clinical trial data in #PancreaticCancer with a KRAS inhibitor.
Reminded of this critique that @Pasca_Lab received on her grant in 2013 - "There are not, and will never be, KRAS inhibitors".
Keep calm & science on!
Truly humbled & honoured to be listed in the Innovators Under 35 by MIT Technology Review Arabia (MENA 2025)-in recognition of revealing the PIK3C3 protein as a potential therapeutic target in breast cancer metastasis and the vision of scaling this finding. (1/3)

I love finding a paper published years ago (5, 10, 15, 20) that isn't famous or field changing or has a ton of citations but when you read it is just awesome. Like, beautifully designed & executed & written. Best part there are so many papers like that lurking in the literature.
Okay--I am still waiting for the Nobel on germline predisposition to cancer (i.e. Mary-Claire King).
