ok seems like it's time to fire a few rent-lowering shots because i'm seeing a lot of fuckass discourse in the periphery: if you harass people over their fictional DDDNE content/consumption please unfollow me. you're allowed to draw your personal line of discomfort wherever the fuck you want to but if you don't like what someone posts/engages with you should block them and block the tags and the words and whatever else. i'm so tired of seeing people on here with "proship dni" in their bio who also at the same time are going OUT OF THEIR WAY to interact with the very people/content they claim to hate/not want to interact with. it's immature as fuck and exhausting to see the same drama play out over and over and over again. be a fucking adult and curate your own online space please. i'm old enough that i remember a time where this used to go unsaid in fandom, and god do i miss it. for the record, i have my own personal lines! i don't PERSONALLY enjoy or engage with certain topics in fiction! that's why you don't see me reposting or liking or replying to content related to those topics! if i like something, you'll know, because i'll repost/interact with it. but i no longer have ANY tolerance for the harassment campaigns and witchhunts disguised as callout posts from people trying to appeal to some kind of moral higher authority. if you can comprehend that liking fictional cannibalism or fictional toxic relationships is not the same as condoning them irl, then you should be able to apply the same logic to other topics. just because you or i do not fuck with the topic does not mean that those who do fuck with it are irl criminals or deserve to be harassed. and if you have "____ dni" in your bio but are choosing to interact YOURSELF with people/content that upsets you...i think you need to log off.
