Hello.
Scan any object in the real world. It becomes a unique wallet, or a token. That is IRL3, and its core is open source.
Today you can turn an object into a @Bitcoin, @Solana and @Ethereum (EVM) wallet at once, and an object into a pump.fun token.
What makes it different is the gate. Launch a token on @Pumpfun , send its creator fees to its holders, then decide what a holder has to show to collect them: a real object, scanned live. Launch a "Cup" token and only someone who scans an actual cup gets paid. Make it a green apple. Make it a red car.
There is another side to this. Once a white cup token exists, it claims every white cup: scan one anywhere in the world and it resolves to that same token, and a second white cup token cannot be created. Each object is claimed once and only once, and that is what makes every one of them a unique work of art.
Now the honest part. This turned out a little strange, and IRL3 is not finished. The technology is not at 100%, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. What we can say is that an independent team got it close enough to be worth putting in your hands, and then published the core of it.
This is only a start. Someone may take it much further than we have, and that would make it a start worth remembering.

IRL (In Real Life) is an independent project. It takes the logic behind RWA — Real World Assets — and sets out to build the starting point for something new on top of it. We are the first to try it, and our aim has been to develop both the idea and the technology behind it.
Much like the Internet of Things, the idea of objects meeting the blockchain is not something people are used to yet. But solana:5hpck3FaHXqhQnL4RwwdaNQFeBka6CpoVBxT1dWupump is already opening the door to the infrastructure people will be using a year from now.
Turning a real banana into a Web3 $BTC, $ETH or $SOL wallet, or into a @Pumpfun token, may not look like much today. As people get used to this and build on it, it goes a great deal further.
We published the technology on our GitHub as OBJ and Wallet — open source, able to run locally on your own machine. The next step is to design the whole system to run as a Solana program. Our aim is not to keep pushing solana:5hpck3FaHXqhQnL4RwwdaNQFeBka6CpoVBxT1dWupump. It is to find out whether the IRL technology actually works, and then to make it better.
What we want to ship this week
Phantom shows a risk warning when you deploy a token on the IRL Launchpad. We are going to get that cleared up.
Every scanned object will automatically become a token. That takes the deploy fee out of a launch and lets the object be traded directly. Launchpad usage is what drives IRL usage.
Object NFTs
Turning a scanned object into an NFT is live now. Opening those NFTs to a marketplace matters for the technology and for solana:5hpck3FaHXqhQnL4RwwdaNQFeBka6CpoVBxT1dWupump alike.
The object NFTs are built on Metaplex Core. They will soon carry value in SOL and be directly tradable. To put it plainly: scan a real watch and it becomes a unique NFT, and that object can never be made into an NFT by anyone else again. You will be able to trade these on NFT marketplaces.

IRL3 Update: NFT Objects, a new camera, and more
This is one of the biggest IRL3 updates yet. Here is what's new.
NFT Objects
Every kind and colour of object in the world can be cracked open once. The first person to photograph it and crack it open owns its NFT card, and nobody can ever open that object again.
Cracking an object requires holding at least $20 of $IRL3.
Minting is free. IRL3's factory pays for every card.
Each card is a Metaplex Core NFT on Solana in the official IRL3 NFT Objects collection, sent straight to your wallet. Its picture is the object's line drawing, made from your photo.

Rarity
Rarity depends on the object itself, so you know what's inside before you crack it. Jewellery and watches rank highest, food stays Common, and gold lifts any object. About 80% of objects are Common and only 0.1% are Legendary: in the whole world, only the gold watch and the gold ring.
One-tap camera Live scanning is gone. Every camera on IRL3, except wallet creation, now takes a single photo: put the object in the middle and tap the shutter. It works smoothly on every phone.
After the photo, a sheet opens where you can view or launch the object's token, view or win its NFT, save the object, or take another photo.
Drawings match objects much better, cut away from the hand and the background.
No camera on your computer? Scan the QR code with your phone, and the result opens on both devices.
Explore, home page, profiles and analytics
Explore has a new NFTs tab, searchable by object, colour, rarity or owner.
The home page has a new IRL NFTs row, plus Win an NFT and Global Objects buttons.
Profiles now show the NFTs each wallet owns.
Analytics now tracks NFTs cracked and their rarity.
Other improvements
Object Library is now Local Objects.
Global Objects has a cleaner layout on phones.
"Launch its token" opens the launch form with the object already selected.
The Docs, Terms and Privacy Policy are fully updated.
Coming next Buying and selling cards directly on IRL3. Your cards are standard Metaplex Core NFTs, so they're already yours to keep or move.

In the next update, $IRL3 holders will be able to earn both from holding and from every object they scan. That return comes through 3D modelling.
In short: when you scan an object, we turn it into a 3D model with SAM, and that model becomes a 3D asset that can be sold on a marketplace. 3D IRL tokens will also be available for every token you create.
SAM is live and object scanning has been improved. The more objects you scan, the better the model gets.
Optimisation on the technology side is done. The next update is aimed entirely at $IRL3 holders and our market cap.

We do not post about the token, and we do not offer incentives to pump it, because that would not be professional. We only share real updates and real development.
