Some of the crazy policies Democrats have in store for next January in Olympia: - a statewide payroll tax on jobs, modeled after Seattle’s disastrous jump start head tax - a new tax on unrealized capital gains, which is money you’ve invested for things like retirement but have not collected - tripling property taxes and increasing it annually by inflation and population - reduce the threshold of the new state income tax below $1M to apply to the middle class if not defeated in November - a new “margins tax” scheme (analysis tbd) - more reckless spending and more deficits where democrats cut from the vulnerable in programs that work, to give even more to their special interests in programs that do nothing but make everything worse. - effectively eliminating juvenile detention for juvenile gang offenders like the Bite of Seattle shooter - using state government to sell and distribute hard drugs like fentanyl - eliminating penalties for sex offenders who pray on children - close down prisons and early release violent criminals into communities - reduce law enforcement, eliminate bail, and destroy our criminal justice system by making it impossible to obtain a public defense, effectively releasing criminals before they ever see a court room - redistricting Republican lawmakers out of existence to create a permanent and generational democratic super majority (the most dangerous) You might have read this list and had a gut reaction that this is rhetorical politics. But every one of the things I just listed are actual legislation that democrats have introduced in Olympia recently or policy recommendations passed to them by their allies. They’ve already promised these. All are just a few things Republicans were able to defeat along with the few moderate Democrats left in Olympia. If Democrats in Olympia are emboldened by results in November, and the moderate Democrats replaced by socialist Democrats, this is just a taste of what we are in for. I don’t know about you, but that list is absolutely a devastating failure that will take reasonable people a generation to come back from. 60% of WA voters who did not vote in the last election were Republicans and Independents. That means we have an opportunity to save ourselves before it’s too late, push back together against socialism and communism, and demand reason and common sense once again. If the list I provided isn’t motivation to vote, nothing is. I’ve heard “what do republicans in WA stand for?” - free markets and capitalism, not cronyism or socialism - lower taxes and more of your money left in your own pocket, we introduced billions in tax relief from property taxes, gas taxes, sales taxes, and more. - combatting our drug crisis with accountability and treatment, not free needles and houses with no rules. - protecting victims of crime, including sexual assault and domestic violence survivors, and protecting children from abuse and neglect. - a small government that protects those who cannot protect themselves, and does what it’s supposed to do very efficiently. - fiscal responsibility with balanced budgets that live within their means and produce tangible results for all Washingtonians. - ensuring our social safety net lifts people up and makes them whole and productive, not forever dependent on politicians - promoting justice and accountability with a robust and fair public safety system that is well-funded, respected, and supported. - protecting your constitutional rights as found in the U.S. and WA State Constitutions, not by erasing the rights others find inconvenient. - promoting a transportation system with high quality roads that reduce traffic, increase freight mobility, and improve our environmental quality - with transit systems that are efficient, clean, and safe. - infrastructure improvements that help development of housing and jobs, improve the quality of life in WA, and lower costs

Bernie. Bernie, Bernie, Bernie. Let me get this straight, because I want to make sure I am reading your economics homework correctly, and I did not eat a bowl of alphabet soup this morning so bear with me. You just listed UnitedHealth's $5.48 billion quarterly profit as proof of corporate greed. Cute. Except that profit happened WHILE the Affordable Care Act — the law that guarantees these insurers a captive, subsidized, taxpayer-fed customer base — has been the law of the land for fifteen years. You are not exposing corporate greed, Senator. You are reading me the receipt for your own bill. The ACA did not shrink the insurance industry. It turned it into a government-guaranteed cash cow, and now you are shocked, SHOCKED, that the cow got fat. Eats soup with a fork, this one. And here is the part that should really sting. Your own party just finished a 43-day shutdown demanding MORE money be poured into that exact system, because the temporary COVID subsidies YOUR PARTY wrote into the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 and the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 — zero Republican votes on either bill, by the way — expired right on schedule, exactly as YOU designed them to. Not a single Republican voted to end those subsidies. You did. Then you shut down the government to admit, out loud, on the record, that a law literally named the AFFORDABLE Care Act cannot survive without emergency pandemic cash. That is not an insult from me. That is a confession from you. So now the solution is Medicare for All. Naturally. Because when a fifteen-year-old government program made the insurance companies richer, the answer is obviously MORE government program, just bigger. If ignorance is bliss you must be the happiest man in the Senate. Independent estimates put full single-payer implementation at somewhere between forty and sixty percent of the ENTIRE federal budget. Forty to sixty percent, Senator. Larger than Social Security. Larger than defense. You want me to hand over half the country's checkbook to the same apparatus that just admitted its last healthcare experiment doesn't work without a subsidy IV drip. Let's talk about who's asking. You have served in the United States government for something like forty years between the House and Senate, and by my count the bills you personally got across the finish line as lead sponsor could be counted on one hand, mostly involving the naming of federal buildings. Somewhere out there is a tree tirelessly producing oxygen for you, Senator, and it owes itself an apology for the return on investment. This is also the same man who, as a young idealist, tried out communal living on a hippie commune and did not exactly stick around long enough to collect a pension from it. Now you want the reins to fifty percent of the national budget. I keep hearing "tax the rich" out of a man worth several million dollars who charters private jets on his "Fighting Oligarchy" tour because, in his own words, he isn't waiting in line at United with the rest of us peasants. Bless your heart. That is rich even by Congressional standards. Couldn't pour water out of a boot with instructions on the heel, but sure, hand him the checkbook. And before you tell me capitalism failed and it's finally socialism's turn — how's that working out for your ideological younger brother in New York? Zohran Mamdani just announced a THIRTY MILLION DOLLAR government grocery store in a city his own comptroller says is worse than broke. Kansas City tried this. Erie, Kansas tried this. That is not a hunch, Senator, that is a lab result, and I am a science teacher, so let me walk you through the peer review. An experiment only counts as science if it has been REPLICATED. Not run once. Run again. And again. Under different conditions, different continents, different decades, different "well THIS time we'll do it right" true believers standing at the podium. So let's replicate it together, shall we, because apparently nobody handed you the lab notes. Trial one: the USSR, 1920s and 1930s. Stalin seized the farms, collectivized the kulaks, and centrally planned the harvest. Result: the Holodomor, a man-made famine in Ukraine that starved somewhere between five and ten million people to death while grain was actively being EXPORTED past their starving bodies. That is not a rounding error. That is a control group that died. Trial two: Cuba, 1959 onward. Castro nationalized every business, every farm, every bank on the island. Sugar production, once the envy of the hemisphere, collapsed. The economy shrank thirty-five percent in a single decade when the Soviet training wheels came off. Extreme poverty today sits near eighty-eight percent. Same experiment. Same result. Trial three: Venezuela, sitting on some of the largest oil reserves on the PLANET, nationalized its oil industry and ran the socialist playbook to the letter. Production collapsed from three and a half million barrels a day to under one million. Hyperinflation peaked past sixty-three THOUSAND percent. Nine million people fled. You cannot bribe your way out of the results with oil money. We tried. It's in the data. Trial four, and this one should make every teacher in America wince: China's Great Leap Forward, 1958 to 1962. Mao abolished private farming, herded peasants into communes, melted down their pots and pans for backyard steel that was too low-grade to use for anything. Somewhere between fifteen and forty-five million people starved. Some regions saw cannibalism. That is not a typo. That is what happens when central planners replace the price system with a five-year plan and a slogan. Trial five: North Korea, present day, running the same command economy with the Juche twist. Famine in the 1990s killed hundreds of thousands to over a million. Markets are technically illegal and thrive anyway in the shadows, because human beings will trade even when their government threatens to shoot them for it. Trial six is my personal favorite because it is the cleanest natural experiment in the history of economics: East versus West Germany. Same people. Same language. Same culture. Same starting point in 1945. One half got markets, one half got the Stasi and collectivized industry. East German productivity settled at roughly thirty to seventy-five percent of the West's, and the population had to build a WALL to stop its own citizens from swimming, tunneling, and hot-air-ballooning their way out. Nobody builds a wall to keep people from fleeing prosperity, Senator. Trial seven: Cambodia under the Khmer Rouge, 1975 to 1979. They abolished money entirely. No markets. No private property. Total state control, straight out of the textbook you apparently keep on your nightstand. One point seven to three million people, roughly a quarter of the country, died of starvation, overwork, and execution in FOUR YEARS. And for the extra credit column: Ethiopia's Derg collectivization, Tanzania's Ujamaa villages, Yugoslavia's market-socialism ceiling, Vietnam before it finally abandoned the model, India's decades of License Raj stagnation, and Poland and the rest of the Eastern Bloc running factories that burned three times the steel per unit of output compared to the free market next door. Every single trial, same hypothesis, same result. I have seen middle schoolers design better controlled experiments during a volcano science fair. That is not one anecdote, Bernie. That is a stack of peer-reviewed, historically documented, independently verified trials spanning four continents and a full century, and the conclusion section reads the same every time: shortages, queues, corruption, and a body count north of a hundred million people once you tally every collectivized farm, every purged kulak, and every commune that ran out of rice. If an experiment fails this many times in this many labs, a real scientist stops blaming the equipment and starts questioning the hypothesis. You, apparently, would rather run trial number eight on 340 million Americans and call it "finally getting it right." Trying to reason with some folks really is like trying to baptize a cat. Quinn's First Law of Liberalism: liberalism always generates the exact opposite of its stated intent. You want cheaper healthcare, you get record insurer profits. You want affordable food, you get a thirty-million-dollar failed grocery store. You want to fight the oligarchy, you fly private. Every single time. Set your watch by it. I keep asking Democrats this question and I never get an answer: what have YOU actually done to help people, versus just handing out someone else's money? Because handouts without a ladder out is not compassion. It is a leash. And I think deep down you know that, Senator, or you wouldn't need the private jet to get away from the people you claim to be fighting for. You're about as useful as a screen door on a submarine when it comes to actually running anything, but boy can you point fingers. You are the human version of period cramps on this topic, Bernie, and I mean that with the utmost respect for a man who has spent forty years discovering new ways to spend money he didn't earn. Has a leak in the think tank if he genuinely believes THIS is the moment socialism finally works. Unless your name is Google, Senator, you need to stop acting like you know everything about running an economy you have personally never had to run. But what do I know. I am only a medically retired Army combat medic and a science teacher who actually reads the Congressional Budget Office numbers before I open my mouth about a trillion-dollar healthcare takeover. @JoJoFromJerz @atrupar @TheYoungTurks #MAGA #Veterans #Trump

While Ro Khanna was busy turning a 90-minute detention into his personal survival story, reports say his team passed on an offer to meet actual Oct 7 survivors and former hostages during the same trip. He had time to walk into a closed military zone he’d already been warned about. He had time to make sure a New York Times reporter was traveling with him. He had time to blast the whole thing across social media the second he was released. But sitting down with people who actually lived through the worst massacre of Jews since the Holocaust? Apparently that didn’t make the schedule. This is the contrast that matters. Khanna wants the public to see him as someone who was “detained by settlers with American M4s” and faced down the IDF. At the same time, multiple outlets are reporting he deliberately avoided meeting the very people whose suffering he now seems comfortable borrowing for political points. He didn’t stumble into this. Israel Police confirmed he was explicitly warned and that it wasn’t his first violation of the closed zone order. He chose the confrontation, then chose the cameras. And let’s not pretend the timing is coincidental. The Graham Platner scandal was blowing up around him ... the same candidate he continued supporting even after the serious allegations surfaced. So Khanna needed a new narrative fast. He got one. A short, controlled detention he could spin into victimhood, complete with dramatic language and sympathetic coverage. He didn’t have to meet the survivors. He just had to make sure everyone saw him playing one. That’s the gotcha. He manufactured a moment of fake hardship while reportedly ignoring the real thing sitting right there in front of him. (article below)

I am watching the Argentina vs. Switzerland match, and an idea just occurred to me that perfectly illustrates how ridiculous the communist utopia is. There are only 70,000 seats in the stadium. Some seats are better than others. Someone will sit on the fifty-yard line, someone else behind a concrete pillar. Someone will be close enough to hear the players talk, while another person will watch through binoculars. How do you decide who gets what? In a market economy, the people who value those seats the most pay for them. It may not produce equal outcomes, but it provides a clear and voluntary mechanism for allocating scarcity. An egalitarian system has a much harder problem. If everyone is equal, why should one person sit in the front row while another sits in the upper deck? Should everyone enter a lottery? If so, should the winner be allowed to win again? Should families be treated differently from individuals? Should people who contribute more to society receive priority? If they do, equality has already disappeared. If they don’t, incentives begin to disappear. Scarcity creates hierarchy. The same problem appears everywhere. There are only so many beachfront homes. Only so many tables by the window in a restaurant. Only so many appointments with the best surgeon. Only so many parking spaces close to the entrance. Only so many tickets to a sold-out concert. Only so many places at the country’s best universities. Every society must answer the same question: who gets the scarce resource? Markets answer through voluntary exchange. Bureaucracies answer through rules. Political systems answer through power. Lotteries answer through chance. Egalitarian utopias constantly collide with reality. Human beings differ in talent, effort, preferences, luck, ambition, and the value they place on particular goods. Scarcity ensures that not everyone can have everything they want. The irony is that societies built in the name of equality rarely eliminate hierarchy. They merely change who sits in the front row. Instead of customers choosing with their own money, officials choose through political influence, connections, or administrative power. The privileged class does not disappear; it simply changes its name. The front row always exists. The only question is who decides who gets to sit there.

New York black reparations hearing demands $800,000 per person - total bill could hit $2.88 trillion in just NY!!! The New York State Community Commission on Reparations Remedies held a public hearing in Harlem where attendees demanded huge cash payments. Aubrey Muhammud said: “We need $800,000 for each foundational black American.” New York has roughly 3.5 to 3.6 million black residents. Paying $800,000 to each one would cost between $2.8 trillion and $2.88 trillion. That is more than the state’s entire GDP of about $2.47 trillion. Other ideas floated included creating a new “Freedmen’s Bureau” or central bank for black America. Even if the number of eligible “foundational” recipients is lower than the total black population, the price tag would still be in the trillions. This is not serious policy. It is fantasy spending that would destroy New York’s economy. Pass this along so more people see the real numbers behind these demands. #NewYork #Reparations

Speaking as someone inside Iran who stayed connected through Starlink during the total internet blackout, I want to say this loud and clear: President Trump’s recent video on Truth Social — showing Iranian protesters writing “President Trump please help” on walls, waving Lion and Sun flags alongside American flags, replaying raw footage of the revolution and saying “I’m with you, I will fight for you and I will win for you” — is music to our ears. The flames of the Lion and Sun uprising have not died down. They are simply waiting for the right moment to roar again. It was @realDonaldTrump, alongside @netanyahu and @PahlaviReza who told us to stay in our homes, stay safe, and wait until help arrives and Operation Epic Fury is complete. That’s exactly what millions of us have been doing. There is enormous pent-up anger, grief, and anxiety inside Iran right now — but also real hope. All of it is ready to be unleashed the moment the opportunity comes. The Iranian people are deeply pro-America. We need America’s support to finally envision a free Iran — a nation where values very similar to American ones can flourish once more, just as they did before 1979 and the arrival of this cursed, evil regime. Make no mistake: this is not a regime that will fade away or soften its terror on its own. Trust me when I say we have tried every possible path short of war. We exhausted every peaceful option — massive street protests, open resistance, attempts at gradual reform, dialogue, you name it. None of it worked. The regime’s only consistent answer has been bullets, executions, and fresh waves of fear. Right now there is deep internal fighting among regime figures. Mullahs and the IRGC are turning on each other, while the so-called “reformist” faction is nothing but the same old Islamic Republic in nicer clothes and smoother language. Do not be fooled by them. The only reason they are clashing is because their money flow has been disrupted, so they blame one another and scramble for more power. We tried to bring this regime down before, but we were mostly unarmed while they were armed to the teeth. Over 40,000 were slaughtered in cold blood, with many more executed, tortured, or thrown in prison. We need help to level the playing field. Then we will rise again—and this time, we will succeed. When we do, we will never forget who stood with us; our debt will be paid in full and more. Iranians are more pro-America than many Americans on X, because we have seen American values and said: “Yes, that is what we want too.” That includes the First Amendment — which needs no explanation — and the Second Amendment, which hits especially close to home. An armed Iranian people could never have been oppressed like this for so long. No one should ever have to surrender their guns, and no one should have to hide like a criminal just for having free internet. I should not be forced to run and conceal myself for simply owning @Starlink. The Iranian diaspora has been our voice when we had no internet. They have accurately represented us during these protests while the talks were happening, making it clear we reject any negotiation with this regime and want Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi to represent the Iranian people — because no one inside this regime ever can. We are anxiously waiting for the opportunity. Let’s see if it comes. But make no mistake: the majority of Iranians feel exactly as I do. Make Iran Great Again. The world will soon understand why we say: Anything for freedom. Anything to end this evil. #IranMassacre‌ #IranRevolution2026‌ #KingRezaPahlavi‌ForIran
