HyperRubrics can benefit students in many ways but I think the most important one is that it provides them with consistency and clarification about their learning process, where they are, what they know, what to do next, being aware of their progress and make them feel an active part of their knowledge journey. It's a tool that helps teachers make the changes needed for the classes to address students' needs and helps students learning and develop self-esteem,

ALT HyperRubrics could be used for students to help students through different math units. For example, NC 4th grade standard nc.4.oa.1 wants students to use the four operations with whole numbers to solve word problems. A HyperRubric could be used to address different components of the standard starting with solving whole number problems in isolation (can they do the skills), moving up to solving addition or subtraction word problems followed by multiplication and division word problems,
