The Minister for Health broke our trust at the very first step. @CarrollJennifer
On 12 November, families were told she would bring a memo to Government seeking agreement in principle to a Tribunal of Inquiry. @SimonHarrisTD
That is not what followed.
Instead, we face a proposed Commission of Investigation, largely conducted behind closed doors.
How can families have confidence in a process overseen by a Minister who has already failed to deliver what we understood she committed to - and when her own Department of Health will be subject to scrutiny.
We will not sit quietly while evidence is heard in private, only to be handed a potentially redacted report years later.
These are our children. Protect their identities, not the institutions that failed them. @CHI_Ireland
We want a Public Tribunal of Inquiry. @SBH_PAG

Durrow, Ireland.
Imagine you live in a small Irish village with a population of approximately 1,000 people. You have a nice quiet and predictable life, but then the local pub owner decides he wants to flood your community with strange foreign men. This is real life for people living in rural Ireland right now.
A man named Marc Lennon has submitted a planning application to convert his pub into accommodation for asylum seekers from Nigeria and Somalia.

While Irish men and women can't afford housing and can't start a family we are importing sick and welfare dependent scammers whilst making their needs a priority over the Irish people, we are not nearly angry enough!

A 30 percent vitamin C solution dissolved in DMSO cleared 86 percent of basal cell skin cancer lesions within eight weeks in a clinical trial. In a randomized study published in Biomedicine & Pharmacotherapy, researchers tested a topical mix of high-concentration ascorbic acid and dimethyl sulfoxide, a solvent that helps substances penetrate deeply into the skin.
Applied twice daily for eight weeks, the combination produced complete clearance in 13 of 15 lesions (86.7 percent) among patients with low-risk basal cell carcinoma. This rate exceeded that of the standard topical treatment imiquimod, which cleared 8 of 14 lesions (57.1 percent). The vitamin C–DMSO formulation also caused fewer side effects and avoided the lasting skin hypopigmentation sometimes seen with conventional topical therapies.
Because basal cell carcinoma is the most common form of skin cancer worldwide, these early results suggest a possible low-cost, non-invasive option. Larger trials are still required before the approach can be adopted as standard care.
