I got a bit of JEV FOMO and wanted a real use case for it in Hopp. I decided to prototype auto-zoom for screen sharing.
@typesafeai’s JEV picks how far to zoom from app names and window geometry.
When you pair on an ultra-wide, the viewer zooms into the focused app and widens between windows.
In a one-hour pairing session with 10 JEV calls per second, I spent about $0.02 on JEV.
Today I gave my first ever conference talk, despite having only 2 days' notice and pulling a 15-hour prep sprint yesterday, I loved it! @RustNationUK was a blast! Thanks everyone! Now, time for 15 hours of sleep!

For day 3 of @12daysofshipmas I shipped a small improvement for Hopp, where the sharing user takes control back when leaving the sharing screen, before the cursor was stuck at the edges
I merged a small change yesterday for day 2 of @12daysofshipmas, now we store the user's JWT in the app_state.json and we don't need another file. I also implemented smooth migration so user's won't get logged out from @gethopp_app

For the first day of @12daysofshipmas I improved the camera window a bit for @gethopp_app and now it shows the camera stream in 720p and can become bigger. Technically it hasn't been shipped yet because @CostasAlexoglou is sleeping and we can't test it.

It was fun implementing a click animation for @gethopp_app. I am planning to write a tutorial on how to do something similar using wgpu #buildinginpublic
