This week, “I shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But my leaf will be green.” Happy new week! 💚

The Book of Romans. Because it provides basic lessons on the theologies of grace, sanctification, justification, sin, new life in Christ, and spiritual gifts.
What book of the Bible would you recommend as a starting point to a new believer and why?

What we practise doesn't sound more like congregationalism, it is actually congregationalism.

Most times we expect people we have helped to show appreciation but they don't. We are often disappointed by this but we should always remind ourselves that we are just privilege to be used by God to touch lives, either they appreciate it or not.

"So what is forbidden the good soldier of Jesus Christ is not all 'secular' activities, but rather 'entanglements' which, though they may be perfectly innocent in themselves, may hinder hinder him from fighting Christ's battles." - John R.W. Stott (Guard the Gospel)

Jesus healed 10. Only one came back to say "thank you". Jesus o. He healed them. Practically changing their stories. Why are you angry that someone has not come to appreciate you 😂😂 Na wetin they do Jesus, they don do you. And I'm not saying we should be ungrateful people

No, ungratefulness is sin I'm saying that, we should not necessarily be moved when people are ungrateful Our good deeds is primarily to God, before any human recipient That said, when people do you good, always be grateful. To God, and to the benefactors As it should be Selah

Lot, Achan, Gehazi Men who had eyes 👀 for material gain alone. You know their end: WORSE, and left with NOTHING. Just a reminder

I was engaged in a conversation with a friend the other time. She made this line, and it struck me: Abraham yielded to Sarah's plea regarding Hagar, and He had His results. When you allow people dictate your walk with God, you are launching a famine for yourself.

If you ever served in a typical Baptist Student fellowship (BSF) as an exco, it is a pure definition of service and sacrifice. You don't eat as excos until all members are well fed. Your CGPA is a criteria for service. If you are struggling academically, you will be advised...

Be careful what you do to people and how you treat them in their weak and vulnerable moments. Remember, Noah woke up from his stupor and Samson's hair grew again. - Rev'd Temilolu A. Aliu

"Paul rebuked Peter", and since then YOU HAVE BEEN LOOKING for the opportunity to rebuke your pastor. In truth, the devil is the one sponsoring that rebuke that may look to us as good intentions.

Even if Adam rejected (the idea of) Eve, it still wouldn't make him complete. Because even though he rejects (the idea of) Eve, he already has a missing rib, a vacuum that can only be filled by Eve.

If we do not pay the price of preparation today, we will pay dearly for our failures tomorrow.
