Also side note, was recently made redundant from my animation gig recently, so I am currently looking for work. My skills include rigging, texturing, 3d modelling and sculpting, video editing and motion graphics. I am knowledgeable in 3dsmax, blender, zbrush and the adobe creative suite and have dabbled in 3d printing. I've included links here to my portfolio site, Linkedin and my animation showreel, Cheers, Connor Baxter youtube.com/watch?v=VsBkNBAg… invaderdesign.co.uk/ linkedin.com/in/connor-baxte… #lookingforwork #3danimator #portfolio #artist #3danimation #zbrush #3DAssets #3danimator #blender

Current tools I use for drawing traditionally: A Blue pencil for pencilling (old trick that animators used where blue doesn't show up when scanning) A pentel brush pen for outlining and deep shadows A micron pen for adding in additional cross hatching A tippex pen for fix ups and minor highlights

I once interviewed sir Dan himself @GunnWriter when I was on kaiju curry house where we talked about his most recent book at the time "coal face", may of cheekily asked him to do the voice near the end of the video, one of my favourite moments on there youtu.be/GRaWgvWhSCo?is=8coy…

I remember playing golden axe at a friends house as a kid, they had a hand me down megadrive and used to play co-op on it along with the port of double dragon, It had very much an adventure vibe to it, albeit it was essentially a basic hack and slash but very much in the same vein as conan, flight of dragons, black cauldron, lord of the rings etc (and why not, the peter jackson films were coming out still at the time when I played it) So I watched the trailer for the new animated show, and really could not care less, they went the easy route and went with the same quirky humour, self referential, ironic, rick and Morty like adult animation style that has been done many time before I honestly feel it could of gone the classic sword and sorcery route rather with some humour but not to the point where it seem obnoxious, even the box art for the original games give off that vibe of classic fantasy, But unfortunately it is what it is, Im sure some people would like it, my head canon however of the world will forever be vastly different than what hollywood has to say a bout it, not much can be done about it

a 9 years ago, I made an attempt to re-create the uncanny original star fox puppet in zbrush youtube.com/watch?v=rfr3owvn… A couple days ago nintendo showed off some uncanny valley designs to the star fox characters Today, inspired by this design choice, i think its time for a redux
