I'm Canadian- this isn't my fight. However, I know that farm work is work that almost NOBODY in America wants to do. Even at double the minimum wage, they would have a hard time finding workers for a lot of ag jobs. The solution is temporary agricultural worker visas.

Recently I was in Billings, Montana, and a couple of times I stopped at McDonalds for a cold drink. Both stores had a big display, congratulating each of the employees who were graduating from high school this month. Imagine, a fast food place staffed by local teenagers!
