I read this 4 times and each time I saw “Frank Ocean” and thought a global curse had been finally lifted

When my second baby was born something similar happened. Suddenly a bunch of nurses busted in asking where the baby was.
I thought I was having psychosis or something because the baby was right there, with the ankle monitor, and they were so confused as to why their system was showing she was missing.
Turns out the EMF blocking blanket I brought her really worked and it turned off the monitor!

For years, Trump and right-wing media have been asking, “Where’s Hunter? Where’s Hunter?” Well, here I am. Clear, strong, seven years sober, and with a lot to say.
By now, you may have seen the article in the Wall Street Journal that I’m launching a meme coin called $LAPTOP.
The symbol they used to try to end me is now a symbol of resilience, redemption, and recovery.
But why would I ever want to support a meme coin? Why something that has been so misused by grifters? I understand the cynicism. Trump has broken trust in everything he’s ever touched. And his token was no exception.
With $TRUMP, nearly one million wallets have collectively lost ~$3.8B.
With my token, 20% of the coins will be airdropped to the community, and I am even including people that lost money on the $TRUMP grift.
30% of the tokens are tied to a pre-programmed mechanism. We publicly say what has to happen in the world. If it happens, the corresponding tokens are permanently burned. If it does not, those tokens are sent to charity. Either way, they leave our hands and an additional 50 million tokens will go to charity no matter what.
You should not expect me or anyone else to make this token more valuable for you. $LAPTOP isn’t just about owning something, it’s about saying something.
Everybody gets knocked down. How do we help each other and our country to get back up?
I've spent way too long being a story other people told. They lit a fire and threw everything into it. Here's what they don't understand: the only thing they burned was my shame. They think they killed me, but instead, all they did was make me fearless.
They turned laptop into a weapon. I turned it into a token.
$LAPTOP. Because the Truth Matters.

I cannot believe I’m saying this, but if Lindsay Clancy is found not guilty by a jury with nine women on it, I might actually be radicalized into supporting the repeal of the 19th.
I vote often, and I vote consistently. But at this point, it might be a sacrifice I’m willing to make - if I thought it would even make a difference.
Liberal women are destroying America.
And protecting children is above all else for me.
it's actually amazing how often community notes hits me up to lmk everything i like is either ai generated or not real

This gets at why I harp on dressing for the airport.
I also watched The Grand Budapest Hotel for the first time this summer, and what stayed with me most was Gustave.
The world he believed in had disappeared long before he did but he maintained it anyway. The manners, the beauty, the standards.
Beauty doesn’t automatically survive. Someone has to maintain it.
People think getting dressed, grooming themselves, having manners, and caring about details are trivial.
And individually, maybe they are.
But when everyone decides the little things don’t matter, that becomes your reality.
So don’t complain when all you feel is everything is slop, cheap, and people have bad manners around you.
There’s something ironic about wearing sweats to fly thousands of miles to other countries to experience beautiful old hotels, streets, cafes and cultures that have preserved the very things we’ve decided are no longer worth the effort at home.
Beauty has become somewhere we go rather than a way of being.
Something we consume rather than something we feel responsible for creating.
A beautiful world is worth creating. And it is worth maintaining.
I watched The Grand Budapest Hotel last night. It’s a good movie. I think it’s about the end of Western civilization.
The hotel was beautiful and opulent under the ownership of Monsieur Gustave. Now, under Mr. Moustafa, it is empty and decaying.
Mr. Moustafa says of M. Gustave: “His world had vanished long before he ever entered it—but, I will say: he certainly sustained the illusion with a marvelous grace.”
The movie frames this decline as a consequence of European infighting: succession squabbles among the aristocratic Desgoffe und Taxis family and the rise of fascism.
The murderous succession squabbles feel especially trivial in retrospect. They center on an apparently priceless painting, Boy with Apple, which hangs askew in the hotel lobby under Moustafa’s tenure.
Everything about M. Gustave’s world seems trivial. The hotel is a good symbol for this. Excessive attention to small detail is the nature of hospitality. Although they may seem trivial, those details add together to create something marvelous and fragile.
It is easy to look back at, say, the Victorians and see their excessive moralizing as ridiculous. But then you see the beautiful metalwork they applied to street lamps and gutter drains.
A culture that creates beautiful things is a culture that cares deeply. It is a culture that believes in itself—in the superiority of its tastes and judgments.
I emphasize superiority: creation, like destruction, requires making choices about what ought to exist and what ought not to. In this way, all artists are fascists. They can’t help it. There can be no equality in art. To create is to assert some hierarchy of being.
Wes Anderson’s own aesthetic intuition is overwhelming. Like the Victorians, he can’t help but care for the small details. M. Gustave’s world is marvelous. His death and the subsequent retreat of liveliness from the hotel is a tragedy.
Maybe I will say more on this someday! But I have to go to lunch now, I've already kept people waiting long enough.
