How to conquer social anxiety when networking?
- Be prepared. Have some questions
- it is a skill that you WILL build
- set goals: talk to 3 ppl
- if you see someone standing by themselves, they will be SO happy if you talk to them
- can always talk about weather #internapalooza
- ask people about themselves (everyone loves that)
- Ask “were you an intern?”
- remember that even members of congress get nervous!
