The sphingolipid sphingomyelin 34:1 is upregulated in the synovial fluid during OA. This study shows that SM34:1 causes inflammatory pain in mice and induces neuronal hyperexcitability. Great work: @psalmotoxin @interlukein @mayadannawi @LanhuiQiu @BeckyRickman @UnivCamPharm
