ENDSARS LEKKI TOLL GATE: NEVER FORGET OCTOBER 20, 2020 Today, October 20, 2026, marks the sixth anniversary of the Lekki Toll Gate shootings, a painful reminder of the price Nigerian youths paid in their demand for a better country. On that fateful night, peaceful #EndSARS protesters were met with gunfire. Lives were lost, many were injured, and the nation was left with questions about justice, accountability, and the sanctity of human life. We must never forget. We must never normalise injustice. As we remember the victims, I reaffirm my belief that a New Nigeria is possible—a country where citizens are protected, not brutalised; where young people are heard, not silenced; and where government power is exercised with responsibility and respect for human rights. Nigeria must become a nation where no citizen is punished for demanding good governance and a better future. May the souls of the departed continue to rest in peace. May their sacrifice strengthen our resolve to build a Nigeria where this tragedy will never be repeated. A New Nigeria is POssible. A Nigeria where every life matters. -PO

Take this to the bank. Obi as your president, hospitals and health facilities will operate optimally in Nigeria with massive funding. He will not travel abroad for checkups, treatment, or doctor's appointment. He will not serve you food that he will not eat. Vote Obi. Vote NDC.

Augie: Corruption turning Nigerian courts into ‘market stalls’ Amina Adamu Augie, a retired justice of the supreme court, has warned that corruption among judges, lawyers and court officials is undermining the administration of justice in Nigeria, turning the courts into what she described as “market stalls” rather than temples of justice. Augie said corruption within the legal profession had also damaged public confidence in the judiciary, calling for the punishment of erring practitioners, irrespective of their status or seniority. thecable.ng/augie-corruption…

Has anyone seen these true-life tragic movies and documentaries on Netflix? 1. Keep Sweet: Pray and Obey. 2. Trust Me: The False Prophet. 3. Wild Wild Country. (This one is particularly so so good!) 4. How to Become a Cult Leader. 5. John of God: The Crimes of a Spiritual Healer. This current conversation about false prophets who use religious psychosis to ruin their followers lives is actually serious. If you have seen any of these movies, you will understand what I’m saying. If you haven’t seen it, please kindly do.

I have noted with deep concern the conduct of the ADC campaign team. The attacks directed at me, our presidential candidate His Excellency Peter Obi, and our party, the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), are unnecessary and unhelpful. Rather than focusing on presenting the competence, credibility, and capacity of their own candidate as we have consistently done by placing our credentials and record of achievements before Nigerians, the ADC Presidential Campaign Council appears intent on creating mischief against our party and ticket. This includes attempts to portray us as working for the ruling party or to suggest that we may withdraw from the race in favour of the ADC candidate at the last minute. The ADC-PCC would be better served directing its energy toward rebutting the serious allegations levelled against their candidate by the Vice President, His Excellency Kashim Shettima, instead of targeting me and His Excellency Peter Obi. We are aware that the ADC-PCC may try to mislead our supporters on the eve of the election by claiming that we intend to withdraw in their favour. Let me state clearly and unequivocally: we will not withdraw our candidature for the ADC or any other party. We remain confident in our capacity, competence, and readiness to lead Nigeria. The OK ticket is neither working for nor acting on behalf of the APC or any of its candidates. We see no possibility or reason to withdraw from the presidential race in favour of the ADC candidate or any other. These claims are unfounded and should be treated as such. The APC-led government has failed Nigerians. The ADC offers no better alternative. We believe the OK ticket presents a credible and viable option, backed by proven capacity, a strong track record, credibility, and broad support across both Northern and Southern Nigeria. It is a healing ticket committed to uniting our country and tackling critical challenges in security, education, agriculture, infrastructure, healthcare, the economy, and other key sectors. We believe the NDC remains the most formidable and viable opposition party in the country. I therefore urge all our supporters and well-meaning Nigerians to continue working toward the victory of our great party. Nigeria will be OK. - RMK

Funniest part: The Catholic Church (or, more inclusively, Orthodoxy), has largely solved the problem of bad actors dominating a congregation for manipulation and exploitation. But humans will human.

If you think religious mass psychosis is a child’s play, go read stories of how a “pastor” can become so unquestionable and idolised to a point where his words are taken as the words of a god, and then one day he tells everyone to engage in mass suicide and they will gladly do it. And oh this is true life story. Go and read about Jim Jones. Marshall Applewhite. David Koresh. Paul Mackenzie. Credonia Mwerinde and Joseph Kibweteere. Joseph Di Mambro and Luc Jouret. Google these names. Read about them. You will know that when any group of people are showing signs of belonging to a zombie cult, you need to be wary.

I can't wait for the Stathams' multiverse. Where all the characters he's played come together to fight a multiverse-level threat. A threat that is also... Jason Statham.
The first trailer for ‘THE BEEKEEPER 2’ has been released. In theaters on January 15.

Please ignore social media; Canada 🇨🇦 needs people more than people need Canada. Despite the influx of UK doctors, hospitals still lack enough doctors and nurses, especially in emergencies. In my Manitoba community, a completed hospital has sat unopened for over a year simply because there aren’t enough medical staff to run it. Lawyers are scarce too; a case from a place like Ondo may only get a lawyer sent from Lagos. Canada has a real shortage of skilled workers and needs young, productive people working and paying taxes to keep the system running. This is not theory. This is what’s happening on the ground
