ALL IN ONE WEEK/ ‘MISS UNIVERSE IN CHAOS’ ✦ 15 OCTOBER/ MU WEST released a statement to respond Miss Grand International President Nawat Itsaragrisil regarding limitations MGI contestants to join Miss Universe by encouraging them to keep their dream alive while urging its National Directors holding a MGI franchise must relinquish that franchise. ✦ 16 OCTOBER/ Miss Universe Czech Republic ‘Sophia Maria Osako’ revealed that she wouldn’t participate in the #75thMissUniverse in Puerto Rico after her consideration of all circumstances with no specific reason. Back to 2023, she was crowned as Miss Grand Czech Republic and ended up with Top 20 in Miss Grand International 2023. ✦ 20 OCTOBER/ MU WEST’s website called ‘missuniverseorg.com' launched an official fan voting both on website and its new application named ‘MU Fan.’ BUT the interesting part is that on the contestant list, no six candidates from Southeast Asia including Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. ✦ 21 OCTOBER/ MGI has confirmed that six national representatives will not participate in the 75th Miss Universe competition in Puerto Rico as MGI is concerned about equal treatment and protect their dignity, safety and status for those contestants following the recent statements from MU WEST and affiliates. All six candidates will continue to pursue her dream as Miss Universe’s country representatives in coming year, not the coming one. What’s next? If MU WEST takes this opportunity to announce the new host country, what will it happen when MU EAST previously announced ‘Vietnam’ as the official host country for the 76th edition of Miss Universe? | #MissUniverse2026 | #MissUniverse | #75thMISSUNIVERSE | #MissUniverseInChaos
