So, Associates were first kept in the dark at the annual meeting. They were informed about the new CWC format through a media release, just like we were.
When they asked the ICC for clarification, there was no response.
This is what must have happened.
Star must have said it needs this engineered format to continue the $3bn media Rights contract. And remember, ICC CEO Sanjog Gupta was previously CEO of JioStar.
So from the Mumbai office to the ICC, and then to the media release.

This bilateral tour, and this historic win against India, were only possible because Ireland were promoted to Full Member status by Shashank Manohar in 2017, along with increased funding.
Now imagine the same level of funding for the Netherlands, Scotland, and Nepal.
We have teams capable of competing. What we lack is a fair revenue distribution model and greater investment in emerging cricket nations.
Netherlands and Scotland should be granted Full Member status as soon as possible. It is long overdue. @JayShah

Until a couple of generations ago, almost all travelers were masculine Men. Travelling involved immersing yourself in the local culture. It was risky, but rewarding. Now that it is safe, most travelers are women or effeminate Men like this dude. It is instagram/tiktok-oriented. No experiencing diversity, you just move to a hotel which is like any other hotel in any other urban location worldwide, in a group of 20, where you get Jain-friendly options in the buffet, tour guide takes you to places in front of which you stand and take photos for instagram, return to hotel room and sleep. You learn nothing, make no friends, include nothing from there in your life, take nothing with you.
