To be demoralized is to have your sense of reality so inverted that you fail to recognize you are in a state of war, mistake those attacking you for victims, and willingly assist them in undermining your own society while believing you are doing something good.
🚨BREAKING: The historic Limoges town hall has just completely collapsed after far-left rioters set it on fire It was built in 1876. It survived World Wars. It did not survive modern France.

You've probably seen the video. A young Frenchwoman in Paris, in tears, begging looters to stop. "Why are you doing this? That's not what we stand for." Some accounts are mocking her. "She voted for it." I won't. Because what you see on her face is not stupidity. It's a disease that has infected the entire West, and it has a name: suicidal empathy. The term comes from Gad Saad, an evolutionary behavioral scientist at Concordia University in Montreal. A man who fled the Lebanese civil war as a child, and who knows what it looks like when a society falls apart. His new book, Suicidal Empathy: Dying to Be Kind, is the follow-up to The Parasitic Mind. Here is the thesis, and why it concerns every one of us. Empathy is one of the best things about us. It evolved for a reason: to care for our children, our kin, our tribe. It was calibrated for a world where the people you felt for were the people around you, and where empathy always came paired with its counterweight: the instinct to protect your own and to recognize a threat. Suicidal empathy is what happens when that mechanism misfires. When it fires at the wrong targets, in the wrong amounts, with no brake. When we feel more for the criminal than for his victim. More for the stranger who breaks the rules than for the citizen who follows them. More for how compassionate we look than for what our compassion actually produces. Where does it come from? Four layers. First, biology. Empathy is a spotlight, as the psychologist Paul Bloom put it. It lights up the one face in front of you and leaves everything else in the dark. The crying migrant on the boat is visible. The thousands of future victims of a broken system are statistics. A spotlight is a terrible tool for running a country. Second, our own civilization. The West is the civilization that put the victim at the center of its morality. Christianity taught us to care for the stranger, the poor, the weak. It was one of the greatest moral revolutions in history. But cut off from its other half, justice, responsibility, the duty to protect your own, it turns into something else. Third, ideology. In The Parasitic Mind, Saad described idea pathogens, ideas that hijack our reasoning. Suicidal empathy is the emotional counterpart: an ideology that hijacks our compassion. It sorts the world into oppressors and victims, then demands unlimited empathy for whoever ranks as the victim, whatever they do. Fourth, status. In the age of social media, empathy has become a display. Posting "refugees welcome" costs nothing and earns applause. The bill goes to someone else: the working class, the suburbs, the women walking home at night. The results are everywhere. Criminals treated as victims of society. Sexual assaults by migrants met with lenient sentences. Self-defense branded as aggression. Borders treated as cruelty. Saad's conclusion is simple: a society dies when it would rather display infinite tolerance than use its survival instinct. Now the part I'll add myself, and that few people dare to say. On average, women score higher than men on measures of empathy. It's one of the most consistent findings in psychology, across cultures, and it makes perfect evolutionary sense: for most of human history, the survival of children depended on it. It's a strength. But it means an ideology that weaponizes empathy will hit women harder. And the data shows it: in country after country, young women have moved sharply to the left of young men, especially on immigration. This is where men have a responsibility. Not to mock. Not to lecture. Not to say "she deserved it." Empathy has always needed a counterweight, and that counterweight was the protective instinct: the one that draws lines, says no, and stands between the threat and the people it loves. Men abandoned that role. They were told it was toxic, and many believed it. So they stayed silent at the dinner table, at work, with their partners, sisters, daughters and friends. That has to end. Men have to have this conversation, honestly and with respect: compassion that cannot say no is not compassion. It's surrender. And the first to pay for it are women. Many women already understand this better than anyone. Some of the bravest voices in this fight are women, precisely because they are the first to feel the danger in the street. A civilization rests on a balance: compassion and strength, openness and borders, mercy and justice. When one side swallows the other, the foundations crack. What we are watching in Europe is what happens when empathy has no counterweight left. Look at that young woman again. She isn't the enemy. She's what this ideology made of a generation that was told kindness would be enough. Our job is to make sure she's the last generation that has to learn it this way.
She voted for it. She welcomed them. Faced with the encore, she begs them to stop. In her heart she knows they will not. Everything she believed. That they were French like her, fighting for the same cause. That the ones who warned her were full of hate. That she would be safe. It all falls apart in this moment. She is terrified of what comes next. In her heart she knows. Only remigration can save her.

I trained in Wainwright as a young sapper. We would bivouac at night to the reassuring “woof woof woof” sound of 105 mm artillery shells flying overhead to impact kilometres down range of our positions. Camp Wainwright Range Control AND Canadian Gunners are highly trained professionals. I do not believe that they are responsible. 105 shells and 155 shells do NOT explode buried pipelines in proximity to numerous soldiers. We are not being told the real story. The cover up has started. The very fact that Carney was rushed to a microphone so quickly lets you know that something is up… I’ll take “gender fluid, culturally incompatible, incompetence” for 2000 Alex …

look guys, it's really simple. the whole "shane gillis women in gyms" thing is just the exhibitionism of certain women crashing into this meme. of course they dress like that at the gym to get attention (or to establish pecking order with other women). claiming otherwise is silly. "string that pulls my short-shorts up my butt crack" is not for comfort or athletic performance. but they want it to be the "right" kind of attention so it's not "being noticed" that matters, it's "who noticed?" they are pleased if the right people stare and offended if the wrong ones do. whether you are a creep or a compliment depends on how they view you, not on what you did. this is not complicated. that's the whole tension.

It’s worth noting that earlier this year a homecare nurse from Ghana named Roberta Achampong fled the country back to Ghana after allegedly stealing millions from Medicaid and buying a swanky house and a Porsche. And now the mayor of Columbus wants more nurses from Ghana.
REVEALED: Columbus’s mayor signed a deal to import nurses from Ghana into Ohio using taxpayer dollars. Ghanaian officials say it could become a model for other U.S. states. Mayor Andrew Ginther’s pitch: “Ghana has made significant investment in training nursing professionals who can migrate legally to enter a ready market in Columbus.” The groundwork began with his office in February. Ohio University representatives have discussed preparing prospective Ghanaian nurses for work in Columbus. And the sister-city nonprofit that helped arrange the deal? Columbus approved up to $225,000 in taxpayer funding for its operations this year. That’s funding for the organization. The recruitment program’s own price tag remains unclear. The announcements don’t identify hiring employers, how many nurses would come, or who pays their relocation costs. The mayor has already signed.

To the anger of trans activists and leftists, the National Health Service England has issued formal new guidance that wards, toilets and changing rooms should be segregated by biological sex, not gender identity. This is 18 months after the UK Supreme Court ruled that under the Equality Act, sex is defined as biological.

Sitting down? There is 1 NGO in America for every 180 US citizens. There is $11,000 handled by NGOs for every 1 US citizen. This sounds insane but it’s true. Check it for yourself. Imagine the fraud and grift. It’s absolutely staggering. Trillions upon trillions stolen.

Canada's Mass Immigration (2017 to 2025) was the worst economic policy decision in Canadian history. It was NOT progressive; it was, in fact, extremely REGRESSIVE. It transferred wealth and market power: ➡️from the Young to the Old, ➡️from the Poor to the Rich, ➡️from Labour to Corporations, and ➡️from the Renter Class to the Owner Class. Prior to 2015, immigration to Canada was high and focused on high-skilled, high-wage labour. In 2015, THIS government CHANGED the RULES, which shifted the focus to low-skilled, low-wage labour. This hurt the job prospects of young Canadians entering the labour market, put downward pressure on wages and lowered Canada's productivity. ➡️bankofcanada.ca/2025/05/staf…) It also increased housing costs, particularly for renters, who tend to be poorer and younger. ➡️bankofcanada.ca/publications… In short, it was horrific for the youngest, poorest and most vulnerable in our society. Never mind the social upheaval it caused. Now that Job Vacancies have normalized and rents are falling, this government is floating the idea of raising immigration. It is outrageous. Worse, it is, again, being pitched as progressive when it is not. It hurts the Working Class; Bernie Sanders was right...youtu.be/vf-k6qOfXz0 The only thing that will improve the standard of living for working-class people is productivity growth. That's it.

This is the way tech bros want you to think. But they never figured in human yearning and the spirit realm. It is not going to go the way the tech bros want. All of us now, no matter your age, are here right now during this time for a reason. You have free will, you have choices. This whole “resist” and “defend democracy” and live life as an “activist” is just hijacking this urge into a distraction, while the AI tech bros hoover up all the money on the planet. We’re “resisting” the entirely wrong thing. We should be putting our whole energy into mocking these tech bros and refusing to denigrate our value as human beings for the sake of their greed and selfishness. We humans are remarkable. Start acting like it. Stop capitulating your life and your decisions to a bunch of money-hungry, irresponsible, socially-ignorant tech thieves. They make things that serve us, that serve our life, and that’s it. Our lives and our life experiences are far more important than their tech.
Received a moving message from an aspiring mid-20s professional that, I think, captures an increasingly widespread despair among younger cohorts: "It really saddens me when I hear about the work [senior people in the field] are doing. Their work seems interesting, and I'll never get to do it. The people in their fifties and sixties, they're lucky. I'm even lucky. I feel bad for the kids who are fourteen. I at least got a chance to use my brain for one or two minutes, and that's still priceless. I got to be human. I got to be more than just some puppet who presses Enter so something can think for me. It's very depressing looking at people who are sixty, who I would love to be in twenty years. But to know that I won't get to do that because Dario said so, right? And, like, that's actually heartbreaking. It's heartbreaking to know that no matter how hard you try and no matter what you do, you cannot add value as a human being in a year or two's time. It's like hitting a brick wall. You feel no motivation to build the skill, to get better, to attain wisdom and knowledge. It seems worthless to you. And all the older people are telling you all your efforts might be worthless, and they don't need you anymore. And they can just sit there and, you know, make money and leave you to drown."

Except the time NDP MP Heather McPherson was hanging around a Wisconsin polling station during the 2024 U.S. Elections. Except in February 2025 when B.C. Premier David Eby specifically banned “red-state' liquor. Except in March of 2025 when Melanie Joly admitted to CNN that Canada was paying to run anti-Trump ads in Republican states. Except in August of this year when Liberal MP Anthony Housefather was the photographed campaigning in Florida for Democrat Congressman Debbie Wasserman Shultz…
"Ms. Joly said Canada is not interfering in U.S. politics, and said it’s “absolutely not” fair of Mr. Hoekstra to suggest that. We “would never do that,” she told reporters in Ottawa, and said Canada would “never accept that also being done to us in Canada.” She summarized her recent trips to the United States, saying she has met with business people and political leaders from both Democrats and Republicans to attract new investment to Canada. “I’ve been to Boston, engaging with the governor there. I’ve been also to Illinois and also engaging with the governor JB Pritzker there,” the minister said. “I’ve been also to NASA in Florida,” she said. “Fundamentally, what I’ve done in the U.S. is to attract investments,” Ms. Joly said, adding she hopes to soon announce “good news of investments by different American companies” in Canada. She said her job is to convince foreign investors to put their capital in Canada." @melaniejoly @stevenchase @l_stone

It’s clear that the Albanese Govt. has lost control of the narrative and the Digital Duty of Care Bill is their last ditched effort to grab it back. Terrifying to think that the people whom Shellenberger describes as ‘the most petty small minded people you will ever meet’ get to decide what is ‘harmful’ content. Of course the real red flag is that the Govt. wants the power to use bots and covert accounts. The very thing platforms try to erase as they push fake agendas. As usual it was never about protecting the kids. It’s always about stifling the voice of the people and not letting you see what they really think.

Wow, wow, wow. I just left the National Press Club where Minister of Communications @AnikaWells spoke. She repeatedly and brazenly lied about the fake accounts, claiming they were only for enforcement, even though the legislation says in black and white that the eSafety Commissioner can use them in unlimited ways for "educational" and "promotional" purposes. One big moment came when a Politico reporter got up and said something about how mean people like @PaulineHansonOz were to eSafety Commissioner Julie Inman-Grant. Seriously. A supposed reporter was white-knighting for a government official during the official Q&A. The same reporter had come up to me before Wells' speech and asked if I had criticized Inman-Grant. Who needs government censors when you have Politico? After he asked his question, Wells showed the most emotion, describing online criticism of Inman-Grant as "abuse." She also talked about her own staff's supposed suffering. I kid you not. The mask dropped, and you could see what really upset her: people — including a sitting Senator — criticizing government officials. After gaslighting the audience about fake accounts, Wells repeatedly insisted the government wasn't trying to censor content. She said this after filling her speech with examples of content she claimed harmed people. You couldn't make it up. This legislation is the culmination of decades of progressives equating words with physical violence. Wells cynically compared her legislation to prevent psychological "harm" to various laws that protect people from physical harm, like seat belt laws. BTW, Wells never said what content it was that she thought caused eating disorders. Pictures of skinny women? Dietary advice? Who knows. Nobody asked. Another important moment came when Wells explicitly said Australia would be pursuing censorship alongside other nations, including the UK, France, and Spain—all countries where governments risk losing power to populists. I spoke with Julie Inman-Grant before the speech began and asked about the fake accounts. She insisted they were there just for enforcement, and when I asked why the law allowed them to be used for government propaganda, she said she might write an "enforcement memo," which, of course, would have no impact on the legislation. After her speech, I went up to Wells and asked if she was seriously saying the legislation didn't allow the government to use fake accounts for government propaganda. She refused to answer. A man who said he was from the National Press Club stepped in front of me and said I could interview her afterward. But that wasn't possible because they rushed her out the back to avoid any difficult questions. So there you have it. The pettiest people in Australia are seeking to silence citizens and their political opponents in the name of protecting children. These deeply intolerant and cynical people want to control what you can see and say online. And they're doing it with most of the media's support. Australia has reached a new low in its rapid descent into dogmatism, intolerance, and censorship.
The government today will introduce sweeping censorship that @AlboMP & @AnikaWells lie about. Below she claims the government wants to create a bot army of fake accounts for “research” when the bill clearly intends for them to be used in partisan warfare against fooled citizens.
