Despite promises from WSIB that there will be no disruptions; the number of unaddressed claims has increased from 400 to nearly 6000!!! This is why MPP Lise Vaugeois and I have called on the Auditor General to conduct a value-for-money audit of this decision.

Massive respect to Christina Applegate for speaking out. People think "not MS" is good news. In reality, it just leaves you blindly fighting a battle with no solutions. Mayo told me something similar back in 2020: Probably not MS, but a viral-triggered neuroimmune and vascular condition. Still struggling. Zero validated diagnostic or treatment protocols since. Without a clear diagnosis, there's no real understanding. When people can’t put a recognizable name to your struggle, asking for accommodations at work, at home, or in your social life feels nearly impossible. "Not MS" isn't a cure- it's an exclusion. Medicine must evolve beyond the art of ruling things out and commit to mainstreaming precision diagnostics for complex chronic illness. Thanks, @1capplegate, for bravely bringing this crucial issue to center stage. πŸ’•

The most effective attack on Europe is one Europeans don't even recognise as an attack. Make energy expensive. Undermine food security. Discredit scientists. Divide allies. Destroy trust in institutions. Turn Europeans against each other. Once you see it you can’t unsee it.

"Norwegian undersea cable builder pitches 2,800-mile transatlantic data link between Canada and Europe to bypass the US. Canadian majority partner sought to help fund and build new $620 million fibre connection to reduce reliance on American routes." share.google/PG9qEJ7uytfOljr… Time for the major Canadian cable firms to step up and partner up, to assist on this workaround Trump project. Those firms include Rogers, Bell, Videotron, Telus, Cogeco and Eastlink. We know cash flow is not an industry concern.

I think it's a strong argument that needs to be more vigorously advanced. The Ontario system, though not perfect, has proven its worth in the ER as we see a lot of cottagers and vacationers. Want to nation build? A little more focus on health care would be helpful.

Sounds like an argument for a pan canadian EMR so that our locums don’t have to worry about different records in different jurisdictions.

Trump is lying. He is only saying that now because he is afraid of losing Kansas in the midterms. After the election he will go back to threatening Bombardier.

While we mourn the 4 fallen soldiers, let’s not forget the 39 injured, 19 in critical condition. I can’t imagine what their families must be going through. Let’s keep them in our prayers πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦

πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Trump’s argument that a trade deficit means America is β€œfunding” Canada ignores something rather important: Americans received something for their money. Imagine walking into a store, choosing the products you want, paying the agreed price and taking them home. Then you accuse the owner of taking your money, demand a say in how they run their company and insist they couldn’t exist without you. That is the logic behind treating trade as a handout. πŸ›’ I run a trade deficit with my grocery store. It buys nothing from me. But I get groceries. My receipt proves I purchased something, not that I was robbed or acquired the right to run the business. Countries are more complicated than grocery stores, but that basic distinction still matters. A trade deficit alone does not demonstrate exploitation. You have to examine the actual trading practices. Customers can negotiate, shop elsewhere or decide a purchase is no longer worthwhile. Being a customer does not confer ownership. Buying Canadian products does not buy authority over Canada. Our sovereignty is not an item on your receipt. πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ apnews.com/article/1417673f3…

As a father of a fallen firefighter, I would tell the media to allow the necessary time for the investigation and conclusions to become accurate. Instead of speculating and postulating, please make this all about supporting the survivors grieving loved ones. No disaster porn.

You'd think the news organizations mentioned or the websites used maliciously would have lawyers at the door with the RCMP and CSIS battering the doors down and making arrests and making court dates all over copyright infringement and misinformation and meddling in #canpoli

The horrific explosion in Alberta shows how the leadership of Canadian medicine is so anti-the public. When catastrophe happens, we should be able to drop everything and fly to another province and help out. In fact for any specialty surgery or procedure our outbreak. Canadian grads all wrote the same medical exams. But each province makes it so difficult and costs thousands of dollars to get a license in another province. It’s time to have National licensing today with the Ability to cross borders whenever needed. Telehealth, in person etc. If you do get a licence every area then you have to pay over $100 to get a certificate from the other province saying that you don’t have any complaints against you indefinitely.

Dear @fordnation: It took an FOI from @TorontoStar to show Ontarians the truth about gambling-related suicides. In case you don't know, they jumped 8-FOLD in only TWO YEARS ..after which, the study you'd promised to do got panned. What ELSE should we know ? Signed.
