The world is on fire. Treason, corruption and grifting is at the highest levels in this administration. And Bash and the "fuck your feelings" crowd wants you to apologize for telling a "concerned" Senator to shut up? GTFOH with that shit.

Non zero chance Trump anoints his own son, Hegseth, or Rubio as his successor b/c this guy is a charisma black hole (on top of being awful on whatever passes for policy in the modern GOP)
🥴 JD struggles through surprisingly contentious CBS town hall 🥴 Vance faced a number of tough questions from audience members and from Tony Dokoupil during exchanges like this: JD VANCE: The biggest reason why gas prices are so high is because when Joe Biden ... DOKOUPIL: It's almost been two years. At a certain point it becomes your economy, not Biden's economy Here's a supercut of Vance having a hard time explaining the sluggish economy, Trump's corruption, why the US hasn't already won the Iran war, and more:

As comptroller of Palm Beach County, Florida, Mike Caruso invested $1 billion of the county's money in Israeli bonds. That was 20% of the county's total money and Caruso boasted to reporters that it made Palm Beach County the largest holder of Israeli bonds in the world.
The man standing next to Donald Trump is Mike Caruso, currently on trial for urinating in his 3 year old grandson's mouth.

MAGA has a problem. A big problem. This isn't just "Tommy," a random Republican, you see. This is Thomas Teepell, son of Gov. Jindal's chief of staff and former ops director for Sen. Josh Hawley. He's a PROFESSIONAL Republican. And he made a campaign ad for El-Sayed. El-Sayed is a progressive. He likes big government solutions. He wants the government to do more things and have more power. He thinks this is the best way for government to help people. He's wrong, of course. Republicans could easily challenge him on his policy ideas. But they can't. You see, Donald Trump and the postliberal MAGA movement that has attached itself to him also like big government solutions. They also want the government to do more things and have more power. They also think this is the best way for government to help people. They're wrong, of course. They only disagree on the details. And so Tom Teepull, a professional Republican, sets up El-Sayed with an absolute softball question like a complete amateur. He makes himself look foolish. He creates a viral moment for a Democrat. He's starring in their campaign ads and he didn't even get paid. This is all that Republicans have left: Culture war. They can't disagree with Democrats who want to impose their left-wing collectivist economic central planning by force, because they also want to impose left-wing collectivist economic central planning by force. So they attack his religion in an attempted "gotcha" moment that completely backfires. We've seen this happen repeatedly. It's not isolated to this one incident. Just look at the attacks on Mamdani - they are almost all either attacking his religion or attacking gay people. They cannot challenge his socialist ideas, because to challenge Mamdani's socialism is to challenge Trump's socialism. When they attack Elizabeth Warren, it's over her debunked claims to be Native American, not the economic views she shares with Tom Teepull's former boss Josh Hawley. This is becoming the GOP MO: ad hominem to hide how similar their own socialist views have become. This is why Republicans will lose. Not just electorally, but morally, intellectually, and culturally. Republicans have decided to be nothing more than rude and stupid Democrats. They stand for nothing. They claim to defend "Western civilization" while attacking the classical liberal Enlightenment principles that Western civilization is built on. They have become a movement based entirely around a single individual, whose policies are incoherent and whose ideas have been proven wrong over and over again. There is nothing left of the Republican Party but their bigotry, and as we can see, it is not only repugnant, but irrational.
This is Tommy. Tommy had a question about my allegiances. Listen to the end to hear about his.

Why should my foot not be in your ass?
“I’m old. I’ve paid my home off,” said Ray Warner, a 72-year-old Akron resident. “Why would I pay property tax?” Across the country, homeowners are asking the same question and revolting against property taxes at a scale not seen in a half century. politico.com/news/magazine/2…

This really isn't an obscure belief! It's the official position of the Catholic Church, most non-Evangelical Protestant denominations, and almost all Jewish sects - it's probably the single most common viewpoint in the Western world It's also incredibly prevalent in pop culture
Several years ago I met a guy that was a Christian and believed God used evolution to bring about humanity

It's a "property" tax, not a mortgage tax. If you own property, you should have to pay it.

So it’s hid diction that you have an issue with? Yeah absolutely is as unambiguous and affirmative an answer as I can think of. You just flat out lied about the content of his remarks.

Mark Zuckerberg’s Instagram suspended the No Kings Instagram account for today’s No Kings' day of action. Larry Ellison’s TikTok has shut down the account promoting Alex Gibney’s Elon Musk documentary. Elon Musk promoted the fake story about James Talarico on his X while donating over $150 million to help Ken Paxton. Your reminder that Trump’s billionaire allies control what you see on TikTok, X, Twitch, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and YouTube — and they have a vested interest in making sure Dems don’t take the majority, so Trump isn’t investigated.

Gotta say this is impressive compared to the NYT’s normal habit of finding a “swing voter” who’s chair of the local county Republican club.
Oh my god. The New York Times found a 3x Trump voter in South Texas who now sees Democrats as “God, a beacon of light.”
