🌱 HAPPY LEGALIZATION DAY 🌱
It’s now been EIGHT years since federal legalization; a plant has not collapsed society, reefer madness never took hold, police focus on more important things, and we let adults choose how to live their lives.

Frank Bruno vs. Oliver McCall.
Bruno’s title night is remembered as a coronation. The fight’s last three minutes show how close it came to being taken away.
September 2, 1995. Wembley Stadium. Bruno, 39-4, on his fourth attempt at a world title. McCall, 26-5, WBC champion on his second defence, after wins over Lennox Lewis and Larry Holmes.
McCall makes his final push in the 12th. He walks Bruno down, lands the heavier shots and forces the clinches. Bruno holds. By then he is no longer boxing so much as lasting.
The scores were 117-111, 117-111 and 115-113. Bruno had built the lead behind the jab and right hand before McCall’s late pressure arrived.
Bruno had never reached the 12th round in a world-title fight before. This time he survived it.
That is how the title changed hands: not a procession, a close-out. #BoxingHistory #Boxing

Interviewer: You both made an incredible difference in the game, but the Carabao Player of the Match is Cole. Will you do the honours, Morgan?
Morgan Rogers: Unfortunately, yes. It is rigged, honestly. Rigged.
Interviewer: Well done. I don’t know if Morgan Rogers was too happy with that! This is what he said before the interview started with Johnny. Have a listen.
Morgan Rogers: It is rigged! I’ve got four assists. Nah, nah, nah. Morgan! I can’t believe that. That is mental. He scored a penalty!
Keep it up 👊👊 age don’t mean shit 💙💙💙

🔙 On this day, 12 years ago, Didier Drogba returned to Chelsea for his second spell at the club! 🇨🇮
🚨🔵 THIAGO SILVA PROVED THE GAMBLE, JOHN STONES IS THE SEQUEL
Thiago Silva walked into Stamford Bridge at 35 years old and half of football laughed. PSG discard, ageing centre-back, surely a squad-filler while Chelsea sorted themselves out. Four years later he left with his name etched in gold letters into Chelsea folklore, a Champions League medal, and a level of respect from the fanbase that most players spend a decade chasing and never find. He didn't do it with legs. He did it with a football brain that never aged a day and a presence that made every defender around him better.
John Stones is 32, out of contract, and available for nothing after a decade at Manchester City that brought seventeen trophies through his positional intelligence rather than raw athleticism. That's the exact profile Thiago walked in with. Stones reads the game two passes ahead, steps into midfield like a converted six, and has spent ten years absorbing the exact possession-based, press-resistant football that Xabi Alonso is now trying to build at Chelsea. He isn't a gamble on legs holding up, he's a bet on a footballing IQ that never leaves.
Could Stones be the next name Chelsea write in gold?
