OK. Seeing as I'm going to be over on mastodon from now on and can afford the risk of being banned on twitter, here's what I think . .
Sex is immutable. Gender is a construct. /1
. . instead of getting rid of the pigeon-holes entirely.
I believe that everyone should be able to live their life safely the way they want to - male or female - but focussing on blurring or changing the definition of sex over the chimera of gender is just a blind alley. /3

BBC Scotland presenters and reporters are refusing to describe Michelle Mone as a Scottish Conservative peer. They have been instructed to describe her as "Scottish born" or "Glasgow born" with no mention of the party. Here's the evidence. Five different presenters!

Dreadfully sorry to hear of the death of Derek Bateman - distinguished journalist and bonnie fechter for his country's self-determination. We owe it to him and the others we've lost along the way to keep the light burning.

This is a v poor piece. Ignores contrary from the @EHRC and the UN expert on Violence Against Women and Girls @UNSRVAW. Also a bit surprising to find a former senior politician say she feels silenced by the fact there are woman who disagree with her 😬.

Do we really live in a world where politicians see the fact there are women who disagree with them as robbing other women of voice? How depressing.

This analysis debunks the claim that Scotland is obligated by international #HumanRights law to bring in a system of self-identification. Our current gender recognition system is humanrights compliant. Reform must be based on a proper understanding of the law
UN Expert calls for "act of compliance" from Scottish Government.
His claims do not stack up.
We call for EHRC to step in.

It’s amazing to think that on some primitive level, these imbeciles probably think what they are doing is patriotic. That the more loathsome the insults they pour on someone they don’t know, the more they’d have won the admiration of the late Queen. They really are that vain. – at Scotland, United Kingdom
