This is probably the most pro-China statement by a Malaysian Prime Minister ever:
"At a time when [...] some parties are abandoning the principle of collective responsibility, the global initiative promoted by China is opening up new spaces for reform and cooperation...
President Xi's principles and stance are clearly different from the attitudes of a few countries that have begun to abandon the principle of responsibility sharing, shifting their priorities to sharpening hostilities and weaponizing the economy.
In an increasingly challenging world, we see China emerging as a rational, stable and principled partner. Malaysia values this stability and will continue to be a friend, grounded in history and with a vision for the future....
May the Malaysia-China friendship continue to blossom as deep as the ocean, as strong as the stars in the sky, and as bright as the hope that dawns for future prosperity."
No brownie point for guessing who he means by "some parties" and "a few countries" 😏

"Saya belum tahu pasti jumlahnya. Namun, keterangan saksi menyebutkan adanya pembagian uang," kata Eko.

Violence on the streets of Jakarta, as Indonesian police fire tear gas and water cannons at student protesters. They're opposing recent laws expanding the military’s role in civil society, which some fear could return Indonesia to authoritarian rule.

Israel's Haaretz newspaper reports that an Israeli drone assassinated two Palestinian cousins, boys aged 8 and 10, as they were in the yard of the families' home in the West Bank getting ready for school. The Israeli army claims it was targeting militants suspected of laying improvised explosives.
Soldiers then smashed their way into the families' house, ransacked them, beat a paramedic trying to save the children, and pointed their rifles at one of the mothers as she tried to hold her son, forcing her back into the house.
Finally, the soldiers seized the boys' bodies, only returning them to the families many hours later.
Events like this have been happening to Palestinian families for many, many decades, invariably unreported by western media. Palestinian anger and resistance is then presented by that same media as irrational hatred and terrorism.

For decades, Australia has failed to collect enough income from our mineral and fossil fuel resources.
We’re still collecting more on HECS than from the PRRT, the super-profits tax on oil and gas.
Successive governments have failed the next generations. This needs fixing.

Dr Hussam Abu Saffiya strides in his white lab coat through the wreckage of the Kamal Adwan hospital he ran – the last functioning one in northern Gaza – towards two tanks, their gun-barrels aimed at him.
It tells the story of the final stages of Israel's genocide in Gaza better than any words. Is that why the corporate media has shown so little interest in publicising this image?
