Corporations are paying considerably less than the federal corporate income tax rate. 55 corporations paid less than 5% from 2018-2022. The low effective corporate tax rates found in our latest study show the need for substantial tax reform. itep.org/corporate-tax-avoid…

Four years ago today President Trump was justifying not letting people off a cruise ship because he didn’t want covid cases to go up
Stefanik: Are you better off today than you were four years ago? The answer is a resounding no

In the 2020 election, I didn't know what Joe Biden was going to do as POTUS, all I knew was that we definitely had to get trump out of office, so you could say my vote was mostly anti-trump. NOW, I have the benefit of looking at his record and accomplishments as POTUS, and I can say I am 100% enthusiastically voting FOR President Biden, with the added bonus of beating trump again. This time, by an even BIGGER margin.

As I have been saying, repeatedly, Republicans still have not proposed specific cuts because they themselves *cannot agree on what to cut* How do you negotiate with someone who doesn’t actually know what they want? washingtonpost.com/opinions/…
Little-noted this wk: While McCarthy was all budget-cutting bravado in debt-limit talks with Biden, the House Appropriations panel canceled votes on 4 bills that must fill in gory details of the cuts the GOP is demanding. Divided Rs didn't have the votes. latimes.com/opinion/story/20…

So much writing on the debt ceiling right now seems utterly behind the curve. The question now is what does Biden do if Rs refuse any deal that doesn't effectively give them complete control of US policy? Or maybe even actively seek financial crisis? 1/

What we confront is a judiciary captured by dark forces funded by billionaire donors. It is not just the Roberts Court that we are fighting. It is the Leonard Leo Article III Courts, created through a scouting network within a nationwide Federalist Society fraternity ...

corruption in clear view. The Leondard Leo Court rules.
WATCH -- @chrislhayes: Leonard Leo and the right had a problem: they were putting people on the court, and then couldn't control how they ruled. So they came up with a two-fold solution to create a captured court—one that explains the many Clarence Thomas benefactors.

Call it The Leonard Leo Court. It aint the Roberts Court, anymore. #TheLeonardLeoCourt
Well I guess Leonard Leo got what he paid for at the expense of our country. We cannot have Justices on the Supreme Court willing to take money from any entity or person - this is on its face unethical and should be illegal. The DOJ should investigate- our country is at risk

Sad to say @SenFeinstein but @jonlovett is right. You are hurting the country and stalling the confirmation of judges by the Senate. Californians want representation, but historic memories.
.@jonlovett on Dianne Feinstein: She is now preventing us from being able to confirm judges... As sad as it is to see someone who has had an incredibly storied and important career... Dianne Feinstein should no longer be in the Senate. She should resign.

Biden should issue a full pardon for anyone who uses, distributes, buys, sells, delivers, prescribes or shares mifeprestone, Plan B or any and all birth control. And then re-issue the pardon every God damn day.
