The Gujarat State Electronics Mission successfully hosted MANTHAN, a stakeholder roundtable dedicated to strengthening Gujarat's semiconductor design and fabless innovation ecosystem.
Bringing together industry leaders, startups, academia, and ecosystem stakeholders, the discussion focused on key enablers required to accelerate semiconductor design-led growth in the state. Key themes included access to EDA tools and design infrastructure, IP development, tape-out and foundry access, testing and validation facilities, startup support, skilled talent, funding, and stronger industry-academia collaboration. Participants also emphasized the need for shared infrastructure, incubation support, and product-oriented innovation to help transform ideas into globally competitive semiconductor products.
The insights and actionable recommendations emerging from MANTHAN will contribute towards shaping a vibrant semiconductor design ecosystem and support the continued evolution of Gujarat's semiconductor policy and innovation framework.
