I will continue to say; there should be a VRS penalty for mid/late season roster moves; especially when it changes your primary region.
'Gaming' your way into a major race especially with the absence of a 'qualifying tournament (RMRs)' should be discouraged, and surely goes against the spirit of a regional ranking system.
The 'off-season' or post-major hiatus IMO should serve as a transfer window through which these penalties are negated.

Nostalgia blinds people to a degree that needs to be studied. I've actively queued prem to try to get Cache to no avail, I've even queued for >10min in NA for Competitive Cache, no games.
Valve needs to take away a 'popular' map next season.
