US based AI & Data Engineering firm InnoData fired 550 employees in India in a single day.
Surprisingly most of these employees were not informed about it earlier.
On 26 October, they came to office and logged in to their systems.
After some time, they were forcefully logged out. Their IDs were deactivated immediately.
The first sign that something was wrong came when reports began circulating that the company's Philippines team, including team leads, operational managers, and quality experts had been fired during a Zoom call.
Some workers in India then checked the company's HR portal and found that their payslips had been generated.
The portal showed October 26 as the official date of resignation and the last working day.
These employees then frantically reached out to their managers. But there surprised too.
As workers tried to establish what was happening, access to company systems began to disappear.
And while they were texting their HR team about the 'rumour,' one by one started losing access to their official devices.
Laptops were logged out and official IDs deactivated.

वैसे तो MLC चुनावों की चर्चा छात्र चुनावों से भी कम होती है, पर इस बार बिहार-यूपी पर सबकी दृष्टि रही है क्योंकि स्नातक और शिक्षक पर यूजीसी आदि विषयों के साथ-साथ ज़मीनी उपेक्षा का माहौल भी कार्यकर्ताओं में देखने को मिल रहा था।
बिहार में बाँकीपुर की हार की ही तरह, अब RJD के खेमे में गए डॉ संजीव ने पटना से शिक्षक की सीट पर भाजपा को तीस साल बाद हराया है। JDU से 2025 में टिकट न मिलने पर वो राजद गए। सवर्णों ने इस बार अपनी जाति देखी और BJP को हराया। वैसे ही सुरेश राय भूमिहार हैं, भाजपा ने टिकट नहीं दिया, जन सुराज में गए, आज सवर्णों ने उन्हें भी जीत दे दी।
दो और भूमिहार प्रत्याशी स्वतंत्र रूप से जीते। यह भी बताता है कि बिहार में विकल्पहीनता को इंडिपेंडेंट केंडिडेट्स में विकल्प मिल रहा है। सवर्णों ने जहाँ अपने कैंडिडेट देखे, उसे वोट दे कर जिताया। कुल आठ में से चार सीट पर RJD, जन सुराज और स्वतंत्र लोग जीते। यह जीत 2025 की स्वीप के बाद आई है।
वहीं यूपी में, बनारस में (मोदी के आगमन से पूर्व उमड़ा जनसैलाब प्रकरण के बाद) शिक्षक-स्नातक दोनों को गँवाना भाजपा के लिए सीख है। 11 सीटों में भाजपा ने छः जीते/आगे है, पाँच पर सपा। यदि ऐसे ही परिणाम रह जाता है, तो यह भी संकट का ही विषय है।
सनातन, विश्वगुरु, त्रिपुंड, डमरू, खंजरी, भजन क्लबिंग काम नहीं आ रहा क्योंकि लोग समझते जा रहे हैं सत्य को। अक्टूबर निकल चुका है। आने वाले समय में @RHAreforms का ग्राउंड मूवमेंट और तीव्र होने वाला है।
बिहार में हमारे विचारों से प्रभावित लोग गाँव-गाँव टोली बना कर इस जातिवादी, समाज विभाजनकारी भाजपा की करतूतें बता रहे हैं जबकि चुनाव होने में अभी ढाई वर्ष है। यूपी में बाबा ने पूरा बल लगा दिया, पर यदि परिणाम 6-5 रहे, तो यह समय उचित निर्णय और आत्मावलोकन का है।
आगरा समेत चुनावी सीटों के अधिकारियों से पता कीजिए कि चुनाव किस तरह के दवाब में हो रहे हैं। संभव है, परिणाम में अंततः बदलाव हो जाए, पर यदि MLC चुनाव में आपको नाक रगड़नी पड़ रही है, तो विधानसभा की तैयारी देख लीजिए।
मैं छात्र संघ, MLC चुनावों को जनता का मूड या रेफरेंडम नहीं मानता। हालाँकि, प्रचार इतना हुआ तो मैंने यहाँ लिखा है। बिहार की प्रचंड जीत को वर्ष नहीं बीता है और दो निर्दलीय सवर्ण MLC बन जाएँ, RJD से भूमिहार जीत जाए… लगभग असंभव था यह देखना।
बाकी, गेंद अभी भी भाजपा के पाले में है। दिल्ली विश्वविद्यालय जीते हैं तो युवा छात्रों पर यूजीसी का प्रभाव नहीं ही रहा होगा। मोदी जी दो एयर शो करेंगे, गंगा जी से कुर्ते में नहा कर निकलेंगे, सब पलट जाएगा।

While waiting to board a flight from Kathmandu to New Delhi, I moved to the side of a crowd in front of the jet bridge to catch up with my mother in line when I heard this man behind me say those words.
His name is Joaquin Bonilla Garcia. He's a Spanish passport holder.
When I called him out on his blatant racism, he remained silent. After the flight, upon realizing I had filed a complaint with the airline, he tried to tell me there was a "misunderstanding." But I heard him loud and clear.
I'm sharing this for two reasons.
1) I believe in freedom of speech, and I believe just as strongly that words have meaning. I think hateful statements should bear consequences. I couldn't track him down, but I would appreciate your help in identifying his community and holding him to account.
2) Racism is alive and well, even (especially?) in unlikely settings. I wasn't expecting to hear this kind of language on a flight within South Asia, surrounded by South Asian people, from a tourist who was visiting the region voluntarily. As an Indian American, I feel the pressure to be extra conscious of my behavior when I'm a visitor in another country. Clearly, others feel the opposite, even more empowered to behave badly when they are away from home.

‼️BJP loses Agra and Varanasi MLC seats‼️
Among educated people in Brahmin heavy & PM's constituency, BJP's loss means the anger of GCs is running high.
As BJP is fighting in Courts to breach 50% reservation limit in MP, Maharashtra, Bihar, Chattisgarh etc and is increasingly involved in Ambedkarite appeasement, the road ahead is going to be more difficult for them, as it seems like GCs have started abandoning them.
Simple mathematics - 20% muslims don't vote for them anyway. If even a fraction of 25% GCs don't vote for BJP, they will be in big trouble.
