6 months of being 30.
TL;DR:
-I lost motivation soon after my birthday hit
-I'm not going anywhere, not when the Toronto Tekken community has been so amazing the past several years
-I want to eventually give back to the community with an event next June to celebrate 10 years

there is no game that will save the community
everything starts from the games being fun, enjoying comp, and connecting through events
new games help with this but it's never the game alone
Hook and Obama’s conversation about Tokon was interesting and needed. Obama talks about how Hook can have a positive impact on the community by bringing people together to do something dope instead of contributing to the dooming since him and many others wants the game to “boom”. Unfortunately though, everyone thinks that this “boom” is suppose to just happen and now can’t happen because of the game’s rocky start but that’s far from the truth.
How a community talks about a game and share their experiences significantly impacts its reach. The Brian F vs Odom ft 100 is a clear example of that. So as a creator and even just a community member you can influence that. This was part of the reason DBFZ saw success and why SF6 exploded in Japan. The communities felt contagious and people just wanted to be apart of it. The same can happen for a game with a rocky start but for some reason we just don’t see this. Somehow we don’t see we control that narrative when we are controlling it right now.
Again this isn’t to ignore the issues with the game or a lot of these games. But when are we going to get past this and start making cool shit happen because it’s clear a “savior” isn’t coming? There’s a lot that can be done with the games in front of us and we can create the motion we want but it seems like a lot of us just want it to happen instead of making it happen.

My hot take in fgc that will make some people real upset, is that you can't complain about 'no local' if you never go to the tiny local that does exist and help it grow.
People often say 'no local' when there is a local, its just only a few people. help it grow

Interruptible strings are now supported in filtering and ordering.
The value indicates how fast a move you can use to interrupt a string.
If you order by interruptible, the simple view will show the value in the last column.
It’s also shown on the video cards and in move details.

Won my first dojo event and only dropped two games in the process. Feel really relieved to finally get a offline win. Only dropped two games in the process. IRL been kicking my ass lately so I'm glad I can still enjoy the video game and lock in despite that.
