Oh damn… RIP Tom Skerritt Alien Top Gun Contact Steel Magnolias… All great …. But shout out for “Poison Ivy” one of the better early 90s erotic thrillers (don’t look up Drew’s age…) 😬😬

We just lost a good one. Tom Skerritt did four years in the Air Force as a classifications specialist before he ever played a pilot on screen. He enlisted in 1951 right out of high school in Detroit. Most of the hitch was at Bergstrom Field in Austin, Texas, sorting airmen and handling admin. No flying job, just the paperwork side of the force. He got out in 1955 and used the GI Bill for college, eventually landing at UCLA. Later he played Duke in the MASH movie, Dallas in Alien, and Viper in Top Gun. He also helped start the Red Badge Project for veterans with PTSD. The uniform came first. The rest of the roles followed.

Tom Skerritt was so good that even when he played a villain, you still liked him. In Contact, he’s the perfect smooth-talking bureaucrat who wins by working the system instead of doing the work, and he’s so charming you almost forgive him. RIP, Tom

"Aww, thanks, Ouiser. Nothin' like a good piece of ass." Tom Skerritt to Shirley MacLaine in Steel Magnolias (1989) RIP Tom!

Tom Skerritt was pure class; every time he stepped in front of a camera, he delivered. Once described as a “character actor locked in a leading man’s body,” he made it all look effortless. Rest easy, Viper.

Tom Skerritt is gone at 93. Viper from Top Gun. Captain Dallas in Alien. Duke in MASH. The dad in A River Runs Through It. An Emmy for Picket Fences. Before Hollywood, he served in the United States Air Force. No scandals. No lectures. Just a working man's actor who showed up and made every movie better. They don't make them like Tom anymore. Rest easy, Viper.

🇺🇸 Big U.S. banks are finding AI bots inside customer accounts that the banks never authorized. These are AI agents, tools that can log in and handle tasks for you, and lots of people already use them that way on websites every day. The worrying part is that some of them reportedly tried to do things customers apparently never asked for. JPMorgan, Bank of America, Morgan Stanley and Wells Fargo are among the banks now rushing to get them under control. Banks spent decades building walls against hackers, and now the trouble might be the helper customers let in themselves. Source: Axios / Writer: Daniyal

In 1990, Phil Collins walked on stage looking like Tech Support, then delivered one of the greatest drum solos in live music history.

Men who were obese as children tended to have shorter penises as adults, finds 2025 study from Vietnam. Penis size was not associated with men's current body mass index (BMI). Obesity is associated with declines in testosterone during puberty, and testosterone is important for penile development.

Japanese have an average IQ of 106-112. 94% of all Tokyo residents are Japanese Nationals. So, basically, you have a bunch of smart people living together. There is low tolerance (perhaps due to the higher IQ) to drug use or possession. Again, they don’t tolerate shenanigans.

Samsung is offering engineers bonuses of up to $560,000 to stop them from joining China’s chip industry. A parliamentary review found at least 27 senior engineers from Samsung and SK Hynix have moved to China’s CXMT (the country’s biggest DRAM maker). Together they had over 400 years of experience. Is this stupidity in practice? xitter.cf/Katie_Lam_MP/status/21…
The Home Office is offering landlords double the market rate to kick out tenants and house illegal migrants instead. Everything about this is disgusting - including the fact that it takes properties off the market for everyone else. Yet again, this Government rewards criminals.

suicide of western economy through co2 tax!!! xitter.cf/Electroversenet/status…
China emits as much CO2 in 16 days as Canada emits in an entire year. Australia's annual total takes China just 12 days to emit, while Britain's takes barely 9 days. Combined, Canada, Australia and the UK emit about 1.23 billion tonnes a year. China emits that much in roughly 37 days. So, even if all three countries eliminated every tonne of fossil CO2, closing every factory, power station and banning every gas vehicle, China would replace the entire annual reduction in little more than five weeks. Yet, Western governments are deliberately making energy scarcer and more expensive, by dismantling dependable sources, restricting oil and gas exploration and loading industry with carbon taxes and net zero mandates. Steel, chemicals, fertilizers, refining and manufacturing are driven overseas, often to countries burning more coal. So the emissions do not disappear. Only the jobs, tax revenues and energy security do. The West impoverishes itself. China profits.

The Legacy Media did this to themselves… And it’s only going to get worse. X is now the news. X is now the fact checkers. The damage they’ve done with lies and manipulation is incalculable. They deserve to be mocked at all times. The Legacy Media is the enemy of the people.
