Four years ago, a mystery case led Core Investigator @jvpluv to discover a new diagnosis (ABCD). Today his team published one of the largest clinical surveys of unexplained spinal cord disease to date in @JAMANeuro, finding ABCD in roughly half of patients.

Promising new research from PICI member researcher @LuRongze at the @NeurosurgUCSF highlights a potential new therapeutic approach for aggressive, treatment-resistant pediatric brain tumors.
Published in the @jclinicalinvest, the research shows that targeting PP2A induced tumor cell senescence, strengthened anti-tumor immune responses, and significantly extended survival in preclinical medulloblastoma models. The findings identify PP2A as a promising therapeutic target for high-risk disease.
By helping make difficult-to-treat pediatric brain tumors recognizable to the immune system, this research lays important groundwork for future therapies aimed at improving outcomes for children facing these devastating cancers.
