The other shoe just dropped.
MPR News’ parent company announced it would lay off 5-8% of its 500 employees in the coming weeks and make other cost reductions after state and federal funding cuts led to a $6 million budget gap.
Take a look at some upcoming productions in the Twin Cities metro area!

Tune in to @MPR this New Year’s Day for a special program at 1 and 7 PM CST. I’ll be reading a holiday ghost story as part of it. Thanks to @imjacobaloi for inviting me to participate.
Had the pleasure of speaking with Lloyd Suh for this article. Certainly worth a read!

Had to switch up my regular reporting process to add some fun and flair to this feature I produced on Devon Monroe, one of Minnesota's biggest LGBTQ stars in pro wrestling. It was challenge to bring this to life, but so fun and rewarding!

I have a big ask: I’m working on a story about male performing artists who have struggled with eating disorders and body image issues. I would love to connect with some folks who would be willing to talk to me for this story. My email is in the link in my bio.

It’s National Coming Out Day! I just want to remind you that you should come out on your terms, when you want to, if you want to.
That’s something that “Heartstopper” champions. The latest episode of Cube Critics is all about season 3.
Take a listen!

MPR News Arts Editor Max Sparber and I are at Mickey’s Diner! It’s their soft opening, after a number of years of being closed.
As Halloween approaches, Twin Cities theater goers can enjoy two shows dealing with horror, mystery and murder most foul. My reviews below.

If you enjoyed my review of Back to the Future and thought “I wonder what this guy’s thoughts are on stage adaptations” fear not!
I have a think piece about that very topic. (It also takes a look at the Twin Cities theater season.)

The DeLorean is one of the coolest things I’ve seen on a stage. Ever.
