In Louisville like elsewhere, a lack of body camera footage serves the officers who elected to turn off their body cameras. We need laws that make the absence of body camera footage cause to doubt the accounting of the officer that made that choice.
DHS secretary Chad Wolf said federal agents have been deployed “to protect a symbol of justice — the courthouse." Maybe they could protect actual justice by following the law.
