Apple Pay solved the ONE thing every card statement gets wrong: "Where did I even pay this?" Monday night, a friend and I were at Belgian Waffle. She would've paid via UPI. It was a small amount, so I thought, let me try Apple Pay. I hardly use my Atlas, so I'd barely tried it. One tap, and… done. The transaction showed up as "Bloombay Enterprises P"... with the exact spot on Apple Maps. That's what I truly loved about it. Ever been in a bind, unable to recall where a payment was made, because merchant names don't always tell you the place? Just tap the transaction. Your statement tells you what you paid. Apple Pay tells you EXACTLY where.

The annual Durga Puja in West Bengal should be made a mandatory excursion for students of fine and commercial arts from across the country and the world. Here’s why:

🚨 Maggi made in India. Sold in the US with a cancer warning. But the same product sold in India? No equivalent warning! Are Indian consumers less deserving of protection? Why should Indians have to settle for weaker safety standards in their own country? And why are our regulators allowing this double standard? Indian lives matter just as much. 🇮🇳
Shouldn’t Maggi say “Instant Cancer.” When Maggi sells the same Noodles in California they carry a Cancer warning label. India is the dumping ground for chemical food. When US banned DDT, US companies dumped all their stock in India—Indian govt called it “Green Revolution.”

Kumari Puja : Worship of a young girl, treating her as Devi, is also a part of Ashtami Puja. Sri Ramakrishna has said that the Divine Mother manifests herself more in a pure-hearted girl and that is why Kumari Puja is done. He used to bow down before little girls looking upon them as manifestations of the Divine Mother. When Durga Puja was done at Belur Math for the first time, Swami Vivekananda worshipped several Kumaris. Now only one Kumari is worshipped. The same kinds of offerings made to the Devi are given to the Kumari also, and finally Arati is performed. Even senior monks offer flowers at her feet. #DurgaPuja2026

At Central Park Salt Lake, Kolkata is hosting a massive 60-foot Ravan Dahan this Dussehra, organized by Saltlake Sanskriti Parishad. CM @SuvenduWB & the whole team of Ramayana might be present. Every year, self proclaimed bengali warrior who thrives outside Bengal with a narrow mindset scream that Ravan Dahan is "alien north Indian culture" being pushed into Bengal. Yet these same people have zero issues with Arabic-origin traditions like Eid and Muharram thriving in the land of Durga. Durga Puja happens across Gujarat, Delhi, and globally. Why is Sri Ram—who worshiped Maa Durga and defeated Ravan—the only one branded an "outsider" in Bengal? The hypocrisy is stunning.

An airport that feels like stepping into a forest. Guwahati’s new terminal is a celebration of Assam’s natural beauty and cultural heritage. The new terminal at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport, inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi on 20 December 2025, reimagines what an airport can look like by bringing the spirit of Northeast India into modern aviation infrastructure. What makes it special? • The Bamboo Orchids: The architectural design draws inspiration from Assam’s iconic Kopou Phool, or foxtail orchid, and the region’s rich bamboo traditions. • 140 tonnes of bamboo: Locally sourced bamboo has been incorporated into the terminal, showcasing how traditional materials can become part of contemporary architecture. • A Sky Forest: Nearly 1 lakh plants of indigenous species create a remarkable indoor green environment, giving passengers a forest-like experience. • 57 orchid-inspired columns: The terminal’s striking columns reflect the form of the Kopou flower, a symbol closely associated with Assamese culture and the Bihu festival. • Kaziranga-inspired landscapes: Green spaces, traditional Jaapi motifs and rhino imagery celebrate Assam’s biodiversity and cultural identity. • A major capacity boost: Spread across nearly 1.4 lakh square metres, the terminal is designed to accommodate approximately 1.31 crore passengers annually, strengthening Guwahati’s role as the gateway to Northeast India. The beauty of this terminal lies in how it brings together modern engineering, indigenous materials and regional identity. Rather than looking like an airport that could be anywhere in the world, it tells a story that belongs unmistakably to Assam.

Dear @metrorailwaykol, starting Durga Puja metro services at 1:00 PM makes zero sense!! If @metrorailpune can run non-stop for 41 hours during Anant Chaturdashi, why can’t Kolkata Metro run non stop during Durga Puja? Running trains till 4 AM only to shut down until 1 PM leaves thousands stranded—including pandal-hoppers, tourists, and daily commuters on the Blue and Green lines. Recruit or roster enough drivers and bridge this 6 AM – 1 PM gap. Kolkata does not stop during Pujo! If not non stop then atleast start the services from 7:30 AM atleast!! This is the condition of Howrah Metro station right now

🏭BENGAL TO RECLAIM 20,000 ACRES OF IDLE INDUSTRIAL LAND🏭 West Bengal is sending a strong message to industrialists: use the land allotted to you or give it back. 📍 Chief Secretary Manoj Agarwal said the state will reclaim unused industrial plots where projects have not progressed, making them available to investors with viable, job-generating proposals. 📊 The scale of the opportunity is significant. A 2013 survey identified around 20,000 acres of unused land across 337 sick public-sector undertakings. However, much of it was fragmented into smaller parcels, limiting its appeal to large investors. 🔑 The challenge is not simply reclaiming land. It is identifying genuinely available plots, resolving legal and infrastructure issues, and making suitable sites investment-ready. 💬 Our view: Bengal cannot afford to let scarce industrial land lie idle for years. Allotments must come with clear timelines, measurable progress and accountability. Equally, genuine investors facing legitimate hurdles need support to get their projects moving. Land must generate industry, investment and employment—not remain locked away. #WestBengal #BengalIndustry #Investment
