2 years ago, I kept praying for a job where I could work from home!
Today, I'm running a SaaS solo from my bedroom with paying users across countries.
Sometimes you don't get what you wish for
You get more❤️
Let's keep working towards our dream :)
Multiple times this past year, Codex impressed me much that I tried switching to it
Even paid for it a few times and using them but never got to a point I can ditch Claude fully
Every single f***king time they went behind a little, they came back better
Don't know how they do it, but like the old FIFA games say:
Claude = “has that special something”
Of all the marketing channels I have tried and seen in the last year, including SEO, paid ads and Reddit,
"Build in Public" on X had the lowest ROI.
It may differ by person or product. But from what I see others get too, it stays near the bottom for most.
There is a big world outside X, and even more outside the indie bubble.
It is sad to see people who are starting out put their effort here, when the same effort in other channels could already have brought good results.
"Build in Public" on LinkedIn did bring me some B2B enquiries. But that is because I got a good following there early on.
X can work well when your ICP is on X and later on you have the money to pay people here to quote tweet you to amplify. I see that work for a lot of people.
If you are new to building products and do not have a following yet, do not make X your main way to get customers.
It has it's great benefits though which is "Network" , you can't find that anywhere else and is as valuable
But to get paying users, go outside of X soon. Use X to stay at the edge of tech & for networking!

today is my birthday and I’m launching SignWith on Product Hunt 🎂
as a gift, @tibo_maker is hunting it for me 🤩
producthunt.com/products/sig…
SignWith is actually the first SaaS I’ve ever built that made money
it’s a simple pay per doc e-signature tool, so you don’t have to pay a monthly subscription for expensive and complicated e-sign tools
it makes me super happy to see 1,000+ businesses around the world use it to sign their documents every day
and they aren’t just tech companies. they’re therapists, independent tutors, daycares, home care providers for the elderly, physiotherapists, local electricians, vet clinics etc
they’re the people who keep our lives running, so the rest of us can talk about AI all day on X 😬
and they all had the same problem I had 2 years ago
they were paying heavy subscriptions for e-sign tools that were way too complex, with features they didn’t even need, when all they needed was a simple way to get a doc signed
knowing that something I built makes their day a little easier is the proudest I’ve ever felt about my work
would mean a lot if you checked out my launch and left your honest feedback 🙏
every bit of support genuinely helps a small product like this get seen 🙌
> There will always be humans
> Humans will always want something.
> You can always sell something to humans
> Keep building
"SaaS is dead. People will just build it themselves with AI."
Meanwhile, our support inbox: "where is the downloaded MP4 on my laptop?"
I think we're fine for a while 🙂
Ready for the next one
The Bangalore meetup gave me a network and a clarity on the product roadmap I couldn't have found alone.
40+ founders, business owners , different products in different markets & lot learn from everyone’s approach to building a great business and marketing.
You always leave with something that sticks
Glad I attended the last and now we go again ❤️
I did a crazy thing.. 🤩
back in June I got 47 of the best indie founders from all over India together in one place - a resort on the outskirts of Bangalore
for 3 days
3 days full of games, roasts, sessions, feedback, banter and a lot of silly things we dont even have words for 🙈
As we gear up for the next @RoachMafiaGroup meetup soon 🤫
here's a glimpse of what happened in Bangalore.. sweet sweet memories 😍

This will happen to all of software btw
It will be decompiled and rebuilt
Everything is open source now
Product is not a moat
Only 3 things matter -
- Distribution
- Data
- Customer Service
This is the doom I predicted a few days ago, coming for Photoshop. A clean-room open-source reimplementation.
No prizes for guessing that they decompiled Photoshop to source code, processed that to some kind of non-code specification language, then fed the spec to an LLM with an instruction to generate Rust.
Adobe just got nuked. And closed source is dead, dead, dead.

Not saying this for the sake of it. I have been using for few months now
But I have to say it: T3 Code is literally GOATed now
@theo @jullerino @maria_rcks and the other contributors, please keep doing what you are doing
My dormant SaaS has been saving $3,000 MRR from churn for its users!
I stopped working on it in Oct 2025, when I moved to my current project.
It is retainwell.io. It helps you keep more users at the point of cancellation. (Works for businesses on Stripe.)
I never marketed it, though it is well built. It has 1 paying user and a few free active ones.
Today, out of curiosity, I checked what it has been doing. It saved $3,000 MRR for our 3 active users 🤯
All of that for $49. The market leader would have charged $250.
Feels like I'm quietly sitting on something worthwhile.
So I'm spending a day to set it up properly, then a few minutes of SEO a day to see where it goes.
It's B2B and has 0% churn so far, with 1 paying user 😜 The exact opposite of my other one.
And thankfully I now have a SaaS to dogfood it 😅
me at 21
just joined as an intern for $50 a month. became $500 once I went full time.
my biggest wishes back then:
- buying a macbook, after seeing my team lead with this one 👇🏼
- marrying my love. Our families just found out about us back then, and u know what a nightmare that can be in an Indian village household.
- building my own SaaS business wasn't even on the list, though the ambition was quietly there
all of them came true eventually❤️

CrawlRaven is launching on Product Hunt today 👇
producthunt.com/products/cra…
Last time we launched CrawlRaven on Product Hunt, we finished #4 ❤️
But what I remember most from that launch was the comments. Hundreds of people asking for more:
"Can I use this inside Claude?"
"I need a proper technical SEO audit."
"How can I export my data?"
"Can I share my dashboard without sharing sensitive information?"
We read every single one of them.
And for the last few months, we've been building super, super hard.
Here are the biggest changes:
- CrawlRaven now has an MCP server. Connect it to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor and ask your SEO data what to do next
- Technical SEO audits are rolling out slowly, because we want them to actually be good
- A lot more product and design updates across the board
Today we'd love your support again. Try it, break it, and give us more feedback, because that's how we grow 🙌
Everyone here on X has backed me and CrawlRaven for months now, and I don't take that lightly.
Really grateful. Thank you so much 🙏

In 2017, I started building Bulk Mockup.
No roadmap. No "build in public." No idea there was a word for what I was doing.
In 2023, I joined X and found out: I'd been indie hacking the whole time.
Today, Indie Hackers featured my story.
Lately I've been pulled toward
– less social media
– building quietly
– using it just to stay updated
– sharing with a few close communities, keeping relationships through comments and DMs
The opposite of what I set out to do when I started posting
