Dr. Iman Farajallah's 2016 research study, “Children of War: Psychological Impacts of War and Postwar Trauma on the Palestinian Children in the Gaza Strip” studies the effects of war on 14 Palestinian children and their mental health journeys. The study highlights the individual struggles of the children and the necessity for personal and specialized therapy. This brings to light the fact that every Muslim's mental health journey is different and while people may be experiencing similar situations, there is no such thing as one specific "Muslim experience".
