When I played in Milwaukee during the 2025 season. I placed top 512 without making day 2, only going 4-3-1. 473/1600ish players. This time around with a similar finish in Louisville I placed 1282/2900 players. My friend had to grind through day 2 to get a similar finish as my Milwaukee placement. Is this growth hurting? It is exponentially harder to place higher each year. Should they place hard caps on regionals and ICs so it can even the playing field? What is the fix to this? Can there be too much growth?

Ended 3-3-2 at the Louisville Regional. 1252/2928. I played really well. 2 bad losses to pults. 1 tight loss to basic box. Needed to draw a way to secure an energy and couldn't do it. Ties were definitely in my favor. If we hadn't hit time I would've won those sets. Thought really hard about my list for this weekend. Celebi is trash and people only play it because the first lists do and no one is brave enough to take it out. Cut it for Budew but threw it back in last night. Used it once and immediately got judged after lol 😂 Idk if it just doesn’t fit my play style. But not a fan. Prime catcher is also really good. Versatile and pairs well with briar. Red Card + Judge is sufficient disruption so stamp was not necessary. Also 3-2 split for ultra ball and pad is optimal.

This card sucks. If you have to use this card to set up you’re already behind and are going to lose. Start cutting it. It’s not needed
