Maybe the lesson from 1954 isn’t that kindergarten was harder. It’s that readiness meant more than academics. Knowing how to take turns, help others, care for things, tie your shoes, and work independently counted too. Perhaps progress isn’t always adding more academic content earlier.

Interesting article from @TomDaviesIND at the Indiana Capital Chronicle about the candidates’ “Hoosier credentials.”
But one part REALLY caught my attention.
Beau Bayh grew up in D.C., went to school in D.C. and Harvard, and spent most of his adult life outside Indiana.
Yet his military records list his dad’s Indianapolis condo as his “home of record” while listing his dad’s D.C. house as his mailing address.
This sounds VERY familiar.
Evan Bayh faced his own residency controversy after maintaining an Indianapolis condo as his Indiana residence while primarily living in Washington, D.C.
And now Beau is running for Indiana Secretary of State, the office overseeing Indiana elections.
So is Beau simply following in his dad’s footsteps?
Also, I don't know about you, but “I went to Colts training camp every summer” as proof that you’re a Hoosier is the most out of touch elitist asshole thing I've read all year.

“Nabisco went Halal and didn’t bother to tell anyone but the Muslim community,” said Activist Ben Jarroo of the Citizens United National Trust Society. “Now we have people of all faiths consuming products blessed by what most would consider blasphemers to their own beliefs. It’s not right.”
Nabisco says the Imams are there to make sure the food that goes out to the heavily Muslim communities in Dearborn and Grand Rapids is “customer friendly.”
They didn’t have an answer for all the other people unwittingly conforming to a foreign religion’s dietary restrictions.

I have undertaken this project to put a face to 9/11 by posting a photo of everyone killed that day. If after everything that happened you can vote for the ideology that brought it about it's as if you are killing them yourself! Pictured below was 40 year old Paul Beatini who was attending a meeting at the Aon Corporation in the South Tower. He was an assistant manager of engineering at FM Global which is an insurance company in New Jersey where his duties were primarily carried out as well as Connecticut. That morning his 3 year old daughter asked if he was taking her to the first day of preschool and he told her that this day was just orientation but he would never miss her first day of school which was just days later. It was said that he loved spending time with his two young daughters and that his 10th anniversary was only 3 days off. To forget even a single one of these people is a blasphemy!

I’ve been wondering if the Indian trucking network also overlaps with Daycares and CCDF providers.
So I checked Indiana’s "Child Care Finder" map and found a provider listed under Mandeep Kaur. The state site only showed the ZIP code, but the phone number led me to NextGen Preschool.
Here’s where it gets interesting:
-Mandeep Kaur is associated with 17 properties, according to Beacon Property Search.
-7 of those properties have trucking businesses attached to them in @SearchCarriers
-One property has TWO trucking businesses attached to it.
-The Child Care listing on the Indiana site doesn’t show inspection reports.
None of this proves anything illegal.
But when the same name connects daycare + CCDF + 17 properties + multiple trucking companies, I think it deserves a closer look.
