This year was the best in terms of sales and MRR for @worklog_ai. Is software/saas really dead?

Why would I pay $15/month for your software when I can plan, build, review, improve, host, launch, scale, secure, patch, monitor and debug it myself?

We spend $20m+/year improving Todoist with some of the world's most skilled people. And we are probably much more proficient with AI than most vibe coders. People greatly underestimate how hard it is to create truly great products. It's like food: many people can cook, but not at a Michelin level.

New release of solid_lints (pub.dev/packages/solid_lints) - 2.0.0 🎉. Notable changes: - new 16 standard rules enabled - avoid_multiple_declarations_per_file - prevent God Files with multiple classes - configurable so you can ignore types (like enums) or allow private classes

- prefer_mirror_test_structure - checks that the tests folder structure matches lib (feels like name should be improved?) Excited to try it out on my project, and let me know how it goes for you!

iPhone Duo could be a great collector’s item. Not many people will buy and Apple will likely cancel it in a couple of years unless they drastically improve tech and design. While idea of foldable is nice it’s just not practical in the current form.

One of my favorite features landed in @worklog_ai - project auto-guessing 🤩. Whenever I type something I work on, manually selecting the project is a waste of time, but now it can, depending on the context, select it for you. Feels like ✨

Released our biggest lints update 1.0.0 (pub.dev/packages/solid_lints…) that includes migration from custom_lint to analysis_server and new lints like feature_envy, avoid_duplicate_code, use_nearest_context and other notable packages by @kevmoo.

The next release will include more standard rules enabled by default - and maybe something added to it as well ;)

If you work in that space, let's collaborate too!

We decided to add other notable packages to our solid_lints page: lints.solid.software/docs/ot… - with the first 2 from @kevmoo - undead and cognitive_complexity - which are really nice and close to what we are doing on code quality. Any others we are missing? (open-source only)

While we tested them on solid_lints, we were able to find 2 unused classes, and for @worklog_ai - we found our most complex classes were generated by AI recently (which was my vibe session on a non-critical part).

So it again confirms that AI-Native work needs excellent tools to keep it aligned with software engineering best practices - which those tools and packages help to achieve.

Flutter is so back 🥇
Looks like we made it. 💙

If there is “Made with AI” label, why can’t we filter those posts? They usually are not interesting to me.

New lint rule: feature_envy - warns when one class interacts too much with another class fields or methods. Highlights cases when encapsulation is broken and high coupling that could lead to bugs.

Working on a new solid_lints that supports finding code duplicates; it looks really nice 🤩. Here is a bit more information on the rule itself: lints.solid.software/docs/cu…. Pre-release is on pub.dev - pub.dev/packages/solid_lints…. Let me know what you think.

Also, do you miss any other rules?
