My new e-book Internet Routing with BGP is now also available through the Google Play store. This has the advantage you can download the PDF and EPUB versions. Info, sample chapters: inet6consult.com/bgpbook/

Waar ik me enorm aan stoor is dat ik met 1 x 25 A net zo veel betaal als iemand met 3 x 25 A.

Maybe in our recommendations we should have made it explicit that you should probably not launch your peering manager into space. Fun setting up peering when you're only in communications reach maybe a third of the day, though!

The third #TRON film in 43 years is coming up! The first two should be delivered as 4K UHD blu-ray any time now. I once worked on a software project where I named one process the "master control program". The business people just nodded, the nerds laughed behind their beards.
In an interview with @nl_ix I tell my "origin story": how I discovered the #BGP protocol which I've been configuring, writing about and teaching about for 30 years! nl-ix.net/about/who-is-nl-ix… Upcoming: Rotterdam (Dutch) June 16th, online (English) June 23rd nl-ix.net/articles-events/ev…

A million prefixes? Well, I’ve had a few of you point out that 1,000,000 isn’t 1,048,576 (2^20) and that neither exact number really means anything dramatic because RIB/FIB logic is different between chip makers. However, 1,000,000 is a real bell-weather point. Beware the future!

This image is a good reflection of the visibility of the #EuropeanElections campaign here in the Netherlands... Remember, vote early, vote often! And we are the earliest, voting tomorrow.
