If Ikhide Ikheloa has a philosophy for blunt criticism, it is that power must answer to the people. His social commentary focused on three notions: power, truth, and justice. When he runs amok on the Internet, it is those three filters applying themselves and probing: Who does the story serve? What worldview does it promote? Who gets hurt by it?
He says what many writers are thinking but wouldn’t voice for fear of losing career opportunities. Two years after his boycott of the Kaduna Festival, one of then governor El Rufai’s most vocal critics, a writer and activist named Dadiyata, disappeared. The next month, writers and intellectuals attended the festival again. When he lambasted them for their silence, he was voicing what many saw as a betrayal.

Lol, Wetin tinubu do this Yoruba guy?🤣🤣🤣
“All this narrative that APC has structure….We Nigerians that are feeling the heat ARE THE STRUCTURE. I’m personally erecting a banner for Peter Obi in Badagry, I’m not a party man and I didn’t collect money, I’m doing it voluntarily. Peter Obi is the man with accountability and credibility.
Even if tinubu is attacked verbally, it’s because of his policies….As it stands, Nigerians have woken up; I can tell you a lot of people who voted for tinubu because he’s a yoruba man but now they’re feeling the heat.
The hardship that Nigerians are facing has never been witnessed before in history. Married men wearing suit/tie are LAPPING themselves because of the increase in transport cost…..”

Prof, Sir, the issue is spectacularly simple:
Did Anthony Kila obtain the qualifications and attain the positions he claimed in his CV? If so, he should present the evidence and clear all doubt. If not, he should own up to his fraud, apologise for it, and take his punishment like a man.
Thank you, Sir. Hope you’ve been well.
I know Anthony Kila. I was late to awareness of all the trending stuff about his career. I have never had need to ask of his certificates and letters of appointment and so cannot claim to have those details. But if he has never gone to school then those who have must ask for a refund. We watched the cyber mob bully Jason Arday, youngest black professor ever appointed at Cambridge to his early death. Incidentally I first met Anthony Kila in the city of Cambridge, England in 2006 when I was beginning a run for the office of President of Nigeria. Among those in the mob to lynch Arday were white professors pardoned mistakes of worse nature. I do not know who may be going after Kila in a country where many people give academic and non-academic titles to themselves and the status conferral function of the media elevates them to celebrity. But it does not seem normal. I can empathize from my experience.
When years ago a journalist tried to suggest my stay at VWoN had something to do with its demise I posted N12million for anybody who could come up with a shred of evidence in that regard. Fifteen years on and no one has tried to claim the bounty. When I became the first professor of Pan African(Pan Atlantic) parent of the Lagos Business School someone at Unilag went … huh until he found out that the evaluating team was led by the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ibadan. Perhaps if Professors like Adele Jinadu in Pol sci and Joe Umo at UNILAG had not met me in grad school abroad and interacted with my HOD Elinor Lin Ostrom who went on to become the first woman to win the Nobel Prize in Economics, someone will write something demeaning about my education.
Kila is a smart and good man. I cannot guarantee he has not made mistakes but to suggest he has not gone to school is spectacularly stupid.
Mid terms are here. Time to hold them accountable. "Are you fired up? Ready to go? Are you fired up? Ready to go? I am fired up! Ready to go!
