PS6 RAM and SSD costs alone are reportedly over $680, according to a claim from leaker Kepler_L2.
The post also claims Sony’s PS6 bill of materials has already climbed to almost $1,000. That would be before adding the CPU, GPU, cooling, motherboard, power supply, case, controller and other components.
If those estimates are accurate, a $1,000+ retail price would be a very real possibility, especially if Sony wants to avoid selling the console at a loss.
