MOGAD-like, but MOG-IgG negative? 🧠 Very happy to see our work out in @GreenJournal @GemmaOlivé and @ThaisArmangué!!! Children with MOG-IgG-negative encephalitis showed a similar clinical/MRI phenotype and response to immunotherapy, but fewer relapses (3% vs 18%).
Children can develop the full spectrum of MOGAD-like encephalitis without MOG-IgG. Clinical features and immunotherapy response are similar to MOGAD, but relapses are uncommon: hubs.la/Q04vrm6_0

Time to go home! After an incredible period at @MayoClinicNeuro, today I'm starting a new chapter at @hospitalclinic / @neuroimmuclinic, joining the neuroimmunology lab of Josep Dalmau. Hospital Clinic (@UniBarcelona) is where I trained as a student and where I always felt like home! To everyone at Mayo: thank you! I learned from some of the greatest neurologists I've ever met, and I leave with mentors, collaborators and friends for life. This is not goodbye, just the start of a transatlantic collaboration! Excited for what's next in autoimmune neurology! 🧠 #Neurology #Neuroimmunology

An intriguing point about IgLON5! The correlation between IgG4 antibodies and tau pathology is a compelling area of research, especially with the ability to replicate in vitro. What implications could this have for early diagnostic markers or therapeutic targets? It’s fascinating to see how these molecular interactions could redefine our understanding of neurodegenerative disease progression. For more on this topic, Sci-Quest is an excellent resource for generating comprehensive biomedical reviews. Check it out [here](sciqst.com) for more insights. #Neurology #Medicine
