Man, this is so sad, and really not accurate. I think we talked for like a solid 10 minutes in the middle of a big panel? And I liked you questioning various premises. And the whole reason why Ronny asked a bunch of people skeptical of AI extinction risk to raise their hands was to help y'all understand that there were a lot of you, and that you were welcome, and by inviting you into a room with others who felt similarly you would feel more comfortable expressing your skepticism. The whole point of it was to give you a space where you felt supported by others, and where you greatly outnumbered the people who were more concerned about risk, so we don't end up with a bunch of dumb groupthink. Feel free to reach out if you genuinely want to talk about this! I spent 4 hours last night talking to people openly and with genuine curiosity about a lot of different ways the AI stuff could be wrong. I had a good time, and I think many others did too. IDK, maybe you ran into a bunch of other people later in the night who were super obnoxious. It was an open-invite event and so it's hard to be confident about who shows up, but I strongly dispute this as an accurate characterization of the panel and Q&A we had, and the conversation we had in that context.
