Hard to focus on any work this morning. Despite my second cup of delicious coffee, this huge crane and the new @stripepress book by @she_travels, with its absurdly beautiful @pablodelcan cover, are monopolizing my attention. 🏗️📘👀

Morning: our fate, the Times, a long black and open-air skyline at 69°. Perfection.

While nuking every trace of @Logitech from my Mac, @ChatGPT dropped this gem: “That is sloppy uninstall behavior.” The software may be gone. The sloppy goodbye left leftovers.

The useful outcome is someone recognizing a problem and deciding your judgment would help them address it.

To govern this, we apply the lower-bound condition derived by @ifthis: 𝐴 ⊨ 𝐷 ⟹ Cost(𝐴) ≥ 𝑓(𝐶(𝐷)). Adequacy has a thermodynamic floor: semantic entailment (𝐴 ⊨ 𝐷) requires an interrogation cost Cost(𝐴) bounded below by epistemic complexity 𝐶(𝐷).

MX Master 3S replaced. Setup complete 🏁 My Lofree now has smooth scrolling, working side buttons, and a wheel that does more: click for app-specific menus, hold + move for four directional gestures. All over Bluetooth. No cables, no dongles.

Step one is complete. ✅ Program the ←Back and Forward→ buttons of my LOFREE Touch to work over Bluetooth.

"Information integrity is the mother of all battles. We win that, we win everything." youtu.be/rKBbmUwnqfM?t=1299
Maria Ressa asks the central question: "What are you willing to sacrifice for the truth?" That "sacrifice" is not a moral metaphor. It is a non-negotiable floor cost. In formal systems, an answer (A) only satisfies reality (D) if the system actually pays the irreducible cost of verification: ground truth, human risk, editorial audit. That is what investigative journalism pays. What platforms engineered is an epistemic arbitrage: maximize demand throughput (ρ) while dropping verification discipline (κ) to zero. The formula for information collapse is mechanical: Ærr=(1-κ)ρ "AI slop" isn't a temporary hallucination glitch. It is the mathematical certainty of a civilization demanding infinite answers at zero cost. If you don't pay the floor for truth, you pay the balance in systemic drift.

“Big Tech would like you to believe that this is the only way we can have the internet,” says @mariaressa. “Fifty-three percent of the internet today is non-human traffic—AI slop. Only 25 percent of the internet is open on the web; 75 percent is social media and AI.” foreignpolicy.com/2026/09/25…

☞ Producing an answer is not establishing its truth. ☞ Establishing its truth is not establishing its relevance. ☞ Establishing its relevance is not authorizing the action it recommends. ☞ Completing an action is not demonstrating that the intended outcome occurred. When supplying an answer ceases to distinguish you, you have to justify the question, the standards by which its answer counts, and the significance of answering it.

Access to an answer does not transfer ownership of its understanding.

Read Aloud is still incredulously underdeveloped. To the point where it crashes both desktop and mobile versions at a mere Pause or Rewind function. I understand the difficulty here, however it deserves more attention. Walls of text are NOT optimal. Condensing is extremely risky. I’ll die on the hill of natural audio scrubbing being the only future for human to llm machine interfacing.
Have to say, ChatGPT is a beautiful app. @edbayes and team amazing job again ✔️ sidebar is goated. ✔️ we are moving closer to the slack layout. told ya. ✔️ I saw a bookmark action. thank you wishlist → horizontal tabs. trust me. → chatgpt/codex to be replaced → chatgpt = new chat, codex = new task → bookmarks icon in sidebar what else

Looks 3D, but there's no third coordinate: an IFS of maps ℂ→ℂ, rendered in the Gauss–Argand plane. The apparent relief comes from nested self-similar overlaps, not depth. #builtWithMarimo #python #MathArt #ComplexAnalysis
