Maria Mies (1931-2023) and her work on ecofeminism and on genetic engineering greatly influenced me as a biologist and as a feminist.
Rest in power.

@OhneGentechnik @BMUV @bmel @BMBF_Bund
Looks like Twitter removed its "help page" about their ban on linking to other social media platforms - but the page is already archived on archive.org
for anybody to see the full scale of what they had/have in mind:

There is no #biodiversity without justice. We must redress the trillions in ecological debt owed to the South, where the majority of biodiversity exists. @CBD_Alliance @3rdworldnetwork

12 years ago in Nagoya, a sufficient number of Parties resisted the #commodification of nature.
Now at #COP15, developed and developing countries both call for the same instruments that are a threat to biodiversity and people - in the hope that it will somehow bring them money.
What are priorities at #COP15?
NGOs together get 3 minutes to talk about _all_ issues of the COP.
and then Parties take 36 minutes to come up with 5 different versions to replace a single word like "draft" in a paragraph that simply refers to something that already happened
Sometimes context is everything... I've been walking past this logo everywhere for 10 days at COP 15 already... and only now I notice that it looks like a #Drupal logo
Trick question for trivia night?

Looking for some input for #drupalcon contribution day tomorrow
wristbands at #drupalcon to indicate how much social distancing people want to keep - great idea!
But... maybe different colours next time?
Statistically about 8% of participants won't see the difference between green and red, between shaking hands/hugging or not .
When using a beamer against a tent wall during the day doesn't work... just share your screen in a jitsi call... sessions at #drupalcamping
No trains at all in NL untill at least 17:00 ... so much for planning exploring a bit of Ghent today before @drupaldevdays tomorrow.
When you booked a room in a hostel on a boat - even if it's a bit out of the way - and then the venue for the event is moved right to where you are....
Thank you @drupaldevdays
ecohostel.be still has some space
