Two words. “Irreparable harm.”I think of two words so often. @mskathykhang shared them in a conversation on “What would you like Recovering Racists to know?” We—the white “we”—have done irreparable harm. One year later, those two words remain. – at Surrey, British Columbia
I represented the harm done by the collective. The particular harm done was not mine to repair. But the collective harm is. – at Surrey, British Columbia
I’m a big fan, but this comment is tone deaf, @ANNELAMOTT Michelle Yeoh is brilliant and the first Asian-American actress to win an Oscar. Ever. This is historic. I celebrate this moment in a time of so much anti-Asian sentiment. What an important win. – at Surrey, British Columbia
Today is Epiphany, Women’s Christmas and the 2nd anniversary of the storming of the US Capitol. It is also the day in which I made public that we are closing the doors of SheLoves (@shelovesmag). It’s been 12 astounding years. Read the email here:

O, dear. I went down a deep, white hole of right-wing Afrikaner-dom on Twitter. My heart hurts. My spirit is grieved. I can’t even imagine how vile, offensive and traumatizing this must be for Black South Africans. These are my people. O, how I long for a different way forward. – at Surrey, British Columbia
I stand with @AAChristCollab and call for safeguards against guns used to commit evil in US communities.

The violence in the United States seems all-consuming. My heart is heavy, but ALSO for the violence in Manenberg and the violence in Palestine. The violence against Afghan refugees. The violence in the Ukraine. I long for peace and justice in ALL of these places. How long O, God? – at Surrey, British Columbia
I did not know this. 👇🏻I’ve never actually done Pilates, TBH. Still … I appreciate learning the origin story. – at Surrey, British Columbia
