ALT a white shepherd puppy with large, alert ears stands in a lush grassy yard and avoids making direct eye contact with the camera. from his waist down, and covering both hind legs, he’s caked with brown mud, though somehow his tail remains mostly unscathed. there are a couple telltale smudges on his snout too.

ALT the white shepherd puppy sits on a concrete deck in the sun and looks a bit more proud of his handiwork. his mud pants are starting to dry a bit, and their “waistline” is almost level, suggesting this was perhaps the position in which he first tried them on. we’re still impressed that he managed to cut a hole for his tail though.

ALT a little black and white corgi puppy sits on the stainless steel table at a vet’s office. the wall behind her is a vibrant cyan, contrasting the silhouette of her big black ears sticking out at a diagonal angle. her eyes are somewhat plaintive or concerned as she waits to hear her diagnosis, and a burnt orange leash hangs down over the edge of the table, presumably to catch her if she starts to float off again.

ALT a shelter employee supports a small white pup, who is standing on her hind legs, exposing a 3-pound tumor that's hanging from her belly. her expression is one of desperation and disbelief that she's finally getting help. they're standing in a concrete parking lot, and the sun shines through another person's legs casting shadows around the small pup.

ALT Dolly, the small white pup, is held aloft is front of a teal backdrop and no tumor in sight. some time has passed as indicated by the extra fluff she's grown in her coat. her tongue gently pokes out of her mouth.
