The Vatican launched new AI-enabled services for St. Peter's Basilica, allowing virtual access to its architectural wonders just in time for the 2025 Jubilee celebrations.
Developed with Microsoft and Iconem, the project includes a 3D digital twin and interactive exhibitions.
Drones captured over 400,000 images to create the digital replica, aiding both virtual tours and preservation efforts
Pope Francis emphasized ethical AI use, stating it should "benefit humanity."
