MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS, CAN WE PLEASE COME TOGETHER FOR FIVE MINUTES?! We spend so much time letting DEMOCRATS convince us that every problem in our community is somebody ELSE’S fault. Meanwhile, the things actually hurting us are still sitting right there. Broken families. Violence. Addiction. Bad schools. Fatherlessness. People who have completely given up on themselves and their neighborhoods. And somehow we're STILL arguing about which political team we're supposed to hate this week. ENOUGH. We don't have to agree on everything. We don't have to vote the same way. We don't even have to LIKE each other. But can we at least agree that our Black kids deserve better? We like to scream the BLACK LIVES MATTER but you know what else matters? Fathers matter. Hard work matters. Personal responsibility matters. Safe neighborhoods matter. Telling the truth matters. Yall if we can't even come together around all this, then what the hell are we doing? BLACK COMMUNITY, WAKE UP. We're better than this.
