i was called a gold digger once for only dating founders
but realistically, i’d get the ick so fast if my man:
> had someone else telling him what to do
> thought a powerpoint deck was a product launch
> had been on an org chart but never a cap table
> had to request PTO
> had a boss who had a boss who had a boss
what @ns has given me in the month in exchange for me just showing up and refusing to go home lol:
> deals and opportunities that somehow come to me with minimal effort
> an office where i eat, sleep, work, and study
> the feeling of living abroad without actually leaving my city
> unreasonable amount of inspiration from people around me
> chairs so comfortable that my back has officially stopped filing complaints
my cofounder got stranded in Dubai during her layover because her SF host cancelled on her mid-flight
it took me 15 mins and 2 people to find her a couch to stay on in a city I’ve never even been to
i love what networking can do when you actually build relationships with people🫶🏻

LaunchX board president saw this and asked me to join their first cohort at a new accelerator!!!😭
At 17, I went to @launchx to learn how to build a startup
My team failed. We had a million ideas, very little experience, and absolutely no idea what we were doing
Two years ago, I spent the summer at @UMich (still one of the most beautiful campuses I’ve seen) trying to become a founder for the first time
Two years later, I’m still studying, still building, still meeting people much smarter than me, and still having absolutely no idea what I’m doing half the time
The difference is that I’ve gotten much more comfortable with not knowing what comes next as long as I’m learning and figuring it out along the way
