It's a little loud in the library today, since our windows are getting replaced. But we've got noise-canceling headphones to check out and foam earplugs you can keep, so don't let that keep you from getting what you need!

ALT Britannica: One Good Fact 10/24/24 In 1975 the first McDonald’s drive-through opened in Sierra Vista, Arizona. Soldiers stationed at nearby Fort Huachuca army base were not allowed to appear in public in uniform, making it impossible for them to park and enter the restaurant. The drive-through allowed them easy access to the fast-food spot, skyrocketing that location’s sales.

We stand in support of Indigenous authors. On this Indigenous People's Day, we are shocked that a Texas county has mandated a children's history book about the mistreatment of the Wampanoag nation be moved from the nonfiction section to fiction.
